Abstract
【解決手段】 蒸発燃料を吸着する蒸発燃料吸着材32を、サージタンク22の側壁面30に対して略平行に配置する。側壁面30を伝って流下するオイルが蒸発燃料吸着材32に付着しないように、側壁面30と蒸発燃料吸着材32との間に、保持部材34を配置する。蒸発燃料吸着材32を、保持部材34を介してサージタンク22の側壁面30に取り付ける。

Description
前記内壁面を伝うオイルが前記蒸発燃料吸着材に付着しないように、前記内壁面と前記蒸発燃料吸着材との間に配置されたオイル付着防止手段とを備え、
前記蒸発燃料吸着材は、前記オイル付着防止手段を介して前記内壁面に取り付けられていることを特徴とする。
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1の蒸発燃料吸着装置を備える内燃機関10の構成を説明するための図である。内燃機関10は、シリンダヘッド12を備えている。シリンダヘッド12には、吸気通路14が連通している。吸気通路14には、エアクリーナ16の下流に、スロットルボディ18が配置されている。
内燃機関10の停止中に吸気通路14内に残留する蒸発燃料の発生源は、内燃機関10の運転中に各気筒の燃焼室から吸気通路14内に吹き返された燃料や、内燃機関10の停止後に各吸気ポート26に設けられた燃料噴射弁28から漏れ出た燃料である。従って、上記の位置から生ずる蒸発燃料を効率良く吸着させるには、蒸発燃料吸着材32は、各気筒に繋がる通路の集合部となるサージタンク22内に配置されるのが好ましい。また、蒸発燃料の比重は空気よりも大きいため、蒸発燃料吸着材32は、吸気通路14内の出来るだけ低い位置に配置されるのが好ましい。更に、蒸発燃料吸着材32は、オイルや水分が溜まりにくい位置に配置されるのが好ましい。そこで、本実施形態では、図1に示すように、蒸発燃料吸着材32をサージタンク22内の側壁面30の下部に配置することとしている。
次に、図9を参照して、本発明の実施の形態2について説明する。
図9は、本発明の実施の形態2の蒸発燃料吸着装置の取り付け構造を説明するための図である。より具体的には、図9(A)は、蒸発燃料吸着装置を、取り付け方向から見た図であり、図9(B)は、蒸発燃料吸着装置を、図9(A)に示すB−B線で切断した断面図である。

Claims (3)
- 吸気通路の内壁面に対して略平行に配置され、蒸発燃料を吸着する蒸発燃料吸着材と、
前記内壁面を伝うオイルが前記蒸発燃料吸着材に付着しないように、前記内壁面と前記蒸発燃料吸着材との間に配置されたオイル付着防止手段とを備え、
前記蒸発燃料吸着材は、前記オイル付着防止手段を介して前記内壁面に取り付けられていることを特徴とする蒸発燃料吸着装置。 - 前記オイル付着防止手段は、前記蒸発燃料吸着材を、前記内壁面から所定距離離して取り付けるための保持部材であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の蒸発燃料吸着装置。
- 前記オイル付着防止手段は、前記蒸発燃料吸着材に向かって流下するオイルの流下方向に対して傾斜する方向に設けられたガイド部材であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の蒸発燃料吸着装置。
