Abstract
【解決手段】 点火器組立体に対して、結合部で一体化される有底筒体形状のカップ状部材を備え、当該結合部の肉厚は、カップ状部材に於ける側壁部の肉厚よりも厚く形成されているガス発生器。

Description
そしてガス発生剤を収容するカップ状部材は、点火器カラーに直接結合されていることから、全体容積を抑えた小型のガス発生器とすることができ、これはプリテンショナー用に好適に使用することができる。

Claims (7)
- 作動開始手段として機能する点火器を点火器カラー部材で保持して成る点火器組立体と、点火器の作動によって着火されてガスを生じさせるガス発生剤と、一端側を閉塞した筒状であってガス発生剤を収容するカップ状部材とを含んで構成されるガス発生器であって、
カップ状部材の開放側端部には、点火器組立体における点火器カラー部材に結合する結合部が設けられ、この結合部により、カップ状部材と点火器組立体とは一体化されており、
当該カップ状部材に設けられる結合部の肉厚は、カップ状部材に於ける側壁部の肉厚よりも厚く形成されているガス発生器。 - 前記結合部は、カップ状部材の開放側端部を曲折して形成されたフランジ部である請求項1に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記カップ状部材のフランジ部は、前記点火器組立体における点火器カラー部材に対してかしめにより固定されている請求項2に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記カップ状部材の側壁部には、カップ状部材を構成する壁部中、カップ状部材の内部で生じた圧力又は熱に対して最も脆く形成された脆弱部が設けられている請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記脆弱部は、カップ状部材の軸方向に沿う向きに延伸して形成されたノッチであり、当該ノッチは、結合部と閉塞面側端部との間に形成されている請求項4に記載のガス発生器。
- 前記脆弱部は、カップ状部材の周方向に均等に設けられる請求項4又は5に記載のガス発生器。
- カップ状部材に設けられている結合部の肉厚は、カップ状部材の側壁部の肉厚の1.3倍以上である請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載のガス発生器。
