Abstract
【解決手段】 複数の気筒と、前記各気筒に燃料を噴射する電子制御式のユニットインジェクタ14と、前記各気筒の吸気弁7及び排気弁9を開閉駆動する電子制御式の動弁機構と、を備えたエンジン1において、前記エンジン1の運転状態を検出する運転状態検出手段と、前記運転状態検出手段により信号待ちのエンジン1のアイドリング時を検出した時に、信号切替え時間の長い場合などに、一部気筒の燃料噴射を停止すると共に当該気筒の吸気弁7及び排気弁9を閉弁保持するアイドルカット運転を実施する電子制御ユニット(ECU)12,13と、を設けた。

Claims (8)
- 複数の気筒と、
前記各気筒に燃料を噴射する電子制御式の燃料噴射装置と、
前記各気筒の吸気弁及び排気弁を開閉駆動する電子制御式の動弁機構と、
を備えた内燃機関において、
前記内燃機関の運転状態を検出する運転状態検出手段と、
前記運転状態検出手段によりアイドリングを含む低・中負荷運転状態を検出した時に、所定の条件下で、一部気筒の燃料噴射を停止すると共に当該気筒の吸気弁及び排気弁を閉弁保持する気筒数制御運転を実施する制御手段と、
を設けたことを特徴とする多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記内燃機関の運転状態に応じて、前記気筒数制御運転時の気筒やその数を変更することを特徴とする請求項1記載の多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記制御手段は、交通信号の切替え時間情報や手動切替えスイッチ等の外部指令に基づいて、前記気筒数制御運転を実施することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記制御手段は、信号装置が発信する交通信号の切替え時間情報を受信する受信装置を介して交通信号の切替え時間情報を入手することを特徴とする請求項3記載の多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記受信装置は、ETCの車載器であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記制御手段は、内燃機関の運転状態と交通信号の切替え時間情報から、前記気筒数制御運転時の気筒やその数を変更することが環境にとって有利であるか否かを判断するアルゴリズムを内蔵することを特徴とする請求項1,2又は3記載の多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。
- 前記制御手段は、タイマーにより所定時間を超えたアイドリングを含む低・中負荷運転状態を検出した時に、前記気筒数制御運転を実施することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の多気筒内燃機関の制御装置。
- 複数の気筒と前記各気筒に燃料を噴射する電子制御式の燃料噴射装置と前記各気筒の吸気弁及び排気弁を開閉駆動する電子制御式の動弁機構とを備えた内燃機関の運転状態を検出する運転状態検出手段と、前記運転状態検出手段によりアイドリングを含む低・中負荷運転状態を検出した時に所定の条件下で一部気筒の燃料噴射を停止すると共に当該気筒の吸気弁及び排気弁を閉弁保持する気筒数制御運転を実施する制御手段と、を設けた多気筒内燃機関の制御装置へ情報を提供し得る信号装置であって、交通信号が赤から青へと切り替わる時間情報を表示又は前記制御手段へ電波等で発信することを特徴とする信号装置。
