Abstract
【解決手段】 回転軸方向に複数の情報記録層を有する光ディスク103に光ビームを照射して前記記録層から情報を読み出す光ディスクドライブ装置であって、光ディスクから読み出された情報を記録するための2以上の領域に分割されたバッファ106とを備えており、マイクロプロセッサ104は、情報記録層の各々の層へのアクセスを監視し、監視されて得られた情報毎にアクセス頻度を管理することにより、光ディスクの各記録層から読み出された情報の先読みによるバッファへの管理を行ない、バッファの効率的な使用を可能にする。

Claims (3)
- 回転軸方向に複数の情報記録層を有する光ディスクに光ビームを照射して前記記録層から情報を読み出す光ディスクドライブ装置において、前記複数の情報記録層の各々の層へのアクセスを監視する手段と、前記情報記録層から読み出された情報を記録するためのバッファ手段とを備えており、さらに、前記アクセス監視手段により監視されて得られたアクセス頻度に基づいて、前記光ディスクの各記録層から読み出された情報の先読みによる前記バッファ手段への管理を行なう手段を備えたことを特徴とする光ディスクドライブ装置。
- 前記請求項1に記載した光ディスクドライブ装置において、前記バッファ手段は、2以上の領域に分割されていることを特徴とする光ディスクドライブ装置。
- 前記請求項1に記載した光ディスクドライブ装置において、前記アクセス監視手段は、情報を読み出す光ディスクの各層の情報毎にアクセス頻度を管理することを特徴とする光ディスクドライブ装置。
