Abstract
【解決手段】 アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属またはこれらの金属を含む化合物、または、炭素化合物にリチウムがインターカレートしたものを用いた負極と、正極と、セパレータと、有機電解液とを備えてなる積層型有機電解液電池において、セパレータの液保液率を1.5cc/g以上にして積層型有機電解液電池を構成する。
上記セパレータの液保液率は3.0cc/g以上であることが好ましく、電池単位内容積あたりの有機電解液量は0.2cc/cc以上0.4cc/cc未満であることが好ましく、セパレータのSD温度は140℃以下であることが好ましい。

熱処理した二酸化マンガンとカーボンブラックとポリテトラフルオロエチレンとの混合物からなる正極合剤をステンレス鋼製網を集電体兼芯材として厚さ0.2mm、幅30mm、長さ340mmのシート状に成形して帯状の正極にし、この帯状正極にステンレス鋼製のリード体接続用集電体を取り付けた後、200℃で乾燥し、乾燥雰囲気中で室温まで冷却した。
電解液の注入量を1.25mlにし、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量を0.20cc/ccとなるようにした以外は、実施例1と同様にして積層型電池を作製した。
セパレータとして従来使用の微孔性ポリエチレンフィルムを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。この電池のセパレータは厚み25μm、O/C比0.05、SD温度135℃、液保液率1.4cc/gであり、それ以外は実施例1と同様に、負極の液保液率は1.2、正極の液保液率は0.8であり、また、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量は0.24cc/ccで、電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長は22cm/cc、(電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長)/(正負極合計厚み)は740cc-1であった。
セパレータとして従来使用の微孔性ポリプロピレンフィルムを用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。この電池のセパレータは厚み25μm、O/C比0.02、SD温度162℃、液保液率1.0cc/gであり、それ以外は実施例1と同様に、負極の液保液率は1.2、正極の液保液率は0.8であり、また、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量は0.24cc/ccで、電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長は22cm/cc、(電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長)/(正負極合計厚み)は740cc-1であった。
正極のサイズを厚さ0.4mm、幅20mm、長さ200mmとし、負極のサイズを厚さ0.18mm、幅30mm、長さ190mmとした以外は、比較例2と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。この電池の電極対の積層回数は8回で、電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長は14cm/cc、(電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長)/(正負極板合計厚み)は240cc-1であり、セパレータの液保液率は1.0cc/g、負極の液保液率は0.7、正極の液保液率は0.5であった。
正極のサイズ(寸法)を厚さ0.2mm、幅20mm、長さ340mmとし、負極のサイズを厚さ0.1mm、幅20mm、長さ320mmとした以外は、実施例1と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。この電池の電極対の積層回数は14回で、電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長は21cm/cc、(電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長)/(正負極板合計厚み)は700cc-1、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量は0.40cc/ccであり、それ以外は実施例1と同様にセパレータの液保液率は5.0cc/g、負極の液保液率は1.2、正極の液保液率は0.8であった。
LiCoO2 と黒鉛とポリフッ化ビニリデンとN−メチルピロリドンとの混合物からなる正極塗液を集電体兼芯材としてのアルミニウム箔の両面に塗布し、乾燥後、カレンダーロールで厚さ0.16mm、幅30mm、長さ340mmのシート状に成形して帯状の正極にし、この帯状正極にアルミニウム製のリード体接続用集電体を取り付けた後、150℃で真空乾燥し、乾燥雰囲気中で室温まで冷却した。
負極をカーボン極から同一サイズのリチウム極に変更した以外は、実施例3と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。この電池内のセパレータの液保液率を調べたところ5cc/gであった。また、この電池の単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長は22cm/cc、(電池単位容積あたりの極板対向周長)/(正負極板合計厚み)は740cc-1、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量は0.24cc/ccで、正極の液保液率は1.2、負極の液保液率は1.2であった。
電解液を1.9ml注入して、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量を0.30cc/ccとなるようにした以外は、実施例4と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。
電解液を0.6ml注入して、電池単位内容積あたりの電解液量を0.1cc/ccとした以外は、実施例3と同様にして筒形の積層型電池を作製した。この電池内のセパレータの液保液率を調べたところ5cc/gであった。また、この電池の単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長は22cm/cc、(電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長)/(正負極板合計厚み)は740cc-1、正極の液保液率は1.2、負極の液保液率は1.2であった。

- アルカリ金属、アルカリ土類金属またはこれらの金属を含む化合物、または炭素化合物にリチウムがインターカレートしたものを用いた負極と、正極と、セパレータと、有機電解液とを備えてなる積層型有機電解液電池であって、セパレータの液保液率が1.5cc/g以上であることを特徴とする積層型有機電解液電池。

- 電池単位内容積あたりの有機電解液量が0.2cc/cc以上0.4cc/cc未満であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の積層型有機電解液電池。
- セパレータのSD温度が140℃以下であることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の積層型有機電解液電池。
- 電池単位内容積あたりの極板対向周長が15cm/ccであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の有機電解液積層型電池。
- 負極の液保液率が1.1cc/g以上であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の有機電解液積層型電池。
- 炭素化合物にリチウムがインターカレートしたものを用いた負極と、正極と、セパレータと、有機電解液とを備えてなる有機電解液積層型電池であって、セパレータの液保液率が1.5cc/g以上であることを特徴とする有機電解液積層型電池。
- 電池単位内容積あたりの有機電解液量が0.2cc/g以上であることを特徴とする請求項7記載の有機電解液積層型電池。
- 負極の液保液率が1.1cc/g以上であることを特徴とする請求項8記載の有機電解液積層型電池。
