Abstract
【解決手段】 排気微粒子の捕集量が第1基準値以上であるときには、捕集量が第2基準値未満かつエンジン負荷状態が高いときにのみ再生を実施し、捕集量が第2基準値以上のときには負荷状態にかかわらず再生を実施する。排気微粒子の捕集量が第2の基準値未満の比較的少量のときでもエンジン負荷が高い運転条件になると再生を開始するので、燃費への影響が少なく排気温度を高めやすい高負荷条件を活用してフィルタの微粒子堆積量を少なく維持しておくことができる。

Description
次いで、詳しくは後述するが、前記排気微粒子の捕集量とエンジン負荷との関係が所定の条件を満たしたときにフィルタの再生を実施する。再生は、図1に示したエンジンシステムにおいては、例えばスロットルバルブ11による吸気絞り、燃料噴射時期の遅角化、二次噴射、EGR量減、可変ノズル20の開度制御の何れかを実施し、微粒子再生に必要な300℃以上の排気温度を確保するようにする。

Claims (7)
- エンジン排気中の微粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、前記フィルタに捕集した微粒子状物質の量を演算する捕集量演算手段と、前記捕集量が所定の基準値以上となったときに排気温度を高めて微粒子状物質を燃焼させることにより前記フィルタの再生をする再生制御手段とを備えたエンジンの排気浄化装置において、
エンジンの負荷を検出する負荷検出手段を設けると共に、
前記フィルタの再生を開始する捕集量基準値として、第1の基準値と、該第1の基準値よりも大きい第2の基準値とを設定し、
捕集量が第1基準値以上であるときには、捕集量が第2基準値未満かつ前記負荷が所定の基準負荷以上であるときに再生を実施し、
捕集量が第2基準値以上のときには前記負荷にかかわらず再生を実施するように、
前記再生制御手段を構成したことを特徴とするエンジンの排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生制御手段は、
基準負荷以上での再生を開始したときは、負荷が基準負荷以上であることを条件に捕集量が最小値となるまで再生を継続するように構成した請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生制御手段は、
第2基準値以上の捕集量から再生を開始したときは、捕集量が第1基準値以上に設定した第3の基準値となるまで再生を継続するように構成した請求項1または請求項2に記載のエンジンの排気浄化装置。 - 前記再生制御手段は、
再生中にエンジンがアイドル運転を含む所定の低負荷運転状態となったときには再生を中止する請求項3に記載のエンジンの排気浄化装置。 - 前記第2の基準値は、第1の基準値の2倍に設定されている請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気浄化装置。
- 前記負荷検出手段は、負荷として前記エンジンを搭載した車両の走行速度を検出する請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気浄化装置。
- 前記再生制御手段は、
燃料噴射時期制御、燃料噴射量制御、可変ノズル排気ターボチャージャのノズル開度制御、EGR制御、吸気量制御、補機類負荷制御、
の何れかを適用してエンジン排気温度を上昇させる請求項1に記載のエンジンの排気浄化装置。
