Abstract
【解決手段】当該測定を用いて乗員を分類し、その分類に基づき、座席の向き、エアバックの展開速度、またはシートベルトプリテンショナの制御などの、乗員の周囲環境のパラメータが変更される。ニューラルネットワークまたは他の学習ベース技法が分類に用いられる。

Description
本発明は、座席乗員が自動車座席にかける力分布の測定、および、可能な場合は、その測定に基づいて、乗員の周囲環境の変更を行うことに関する。
Claims (14)
- 座席にかかる力に反応する少なくとも1つのセンサについて複数箇所の測定を行うステップであって、各測定は、センサのほぼ全体にわたって加わる力に応じて行われ、それぞれの異なる力分布の関数である、複数箇所の測定を行うステップと、
前記測定に基づき前記力分布を分類するステップと
を含む、座席乗員監視方法。 - 各関数は、対応する測定が行われる位置に依存する、請求項1に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記測定は、抵抗の測定である、請求項1または2に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記センサは、複数の電極を含み、各測定は、それぞれの電極対間で測定される抵抗を示す、請求項3に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 各測定を前記それぞれの測定関数を表す測定識別子とともに記憶するステップを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記力分布を分類するステップは、訓練型分類機を用いるステップを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記分類機は、ニューラルネットワークを用いて訓練されている、請求項6に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記分類機は、サポートベクターマシンを用いて訓練されている、請求項6に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 乗員のタイプは、前記力分布の分類に従って分類される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記乗員の位置または向きは、前記力分布の分類に従って分類される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記乗員の分類に応じて前記乗員の周囲環境を変えるステップを含む、請求項9または10に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 前記座席は車両座席であり、該方法は、前記乗員の分類に応じて、エアバック展開、シートベルトプリテンショナ、または情報提示のうち任意の1つまたは複数に変化を与えるステップを含む、請求項11に記載の座席乗員監視方法。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の方法を行うようになっている、座席乗員監視装置。
- 加わる力に応じて少なくとも1つの電気特性が変わるパッドと、
前記パッドに取り付けられている複数の電極と、
前記電気特性について複数箇所の測定を行う、前記電極に取り付けられた測定手段と
を備え、
各測定は、前記パッドのほぼ全体にわたって加わる力に応じて行われ、それぞれの異なる、前記パッド上の力分布の関数である、センサ。
