Claims (22)

  1. 吐出ポートと、長手方向に当該カテーテルを通りかつ上記吐出ポートを通り延在する内孔とを有する長寸カテーテルであって、患者の血管系内に挿入可能であり、且つ、植設された血管内移植片の壁部にて上記吐出ポートが導向される如く上記血管内移植片内に位置され得るカテーテルと、
    上記カテーテルの上記内孔を介し、上記吐出ポートから出て、上記血管内移植片の壁部を貫通し、且つ、移植片周縁空間内に前進可能なカニューレと、
    上記カニューレが上記血管内移植片の壁部を貫通して前進されるときに、上記カニューレが前進されつつある方向とは逆の方向に上記カテーテルが反動しない様に、上記吐出ポートの領域において上記カテーテルを安定化すべく上記カテーテル上に形成された安定化部材と、
    i)最初は所定量のポリマ材料が第1体積を占有する非膨張状態であり、且つ、b)上記量の上記ポリマ材料が上記第1体積より大きな第2体積を占有して血液を吸収する膨張状態へと膨張する、という所定量の膨張性ポリマ材料であって、上記カニューレが上記移植片周縁空間内へと前進された後に該カニューレを介して注入可能であり且つその後には上記移植片周縁空間内でその膨張状態へと膨張する所定量の膨張性ポリマ材料と、
    を備えて成る、壁部を有する血管内移植片が植設される患者または患畜における内部漏出を防止または治療するシステム。
  2. 前記カテーテルは偏向可能な遠位端を有する可撓カテーテルであり、
    操作者は、前記カニューレの前進に先立ち前記血管内移植片の壁部に向けて上記カテーテルの吐出ポートを導向させるべく上記カテーテルの遠位端を意図的に偏向させ得る、請求項1記載のシステム。
  3. 前記吐出ポートは前記カテーテルの側部に配置される、請求項1記載のシステム。
  4. 前記血管内移植片は実質的に連続的な壁部を有し、且つ、前記カニューレは上記血管内移植片の上記壁部を貫通するに十分に鋭角的な遠位端を有する、請求項1記載のシステム。
  5. 前記カニューレはマイクロ・カテーテルである、請求項1記載のシステム。
  6. 前記安定化部材はバルーンである、請求項1記載のシステム。
  7. 膨張されたときに前記バルーンは、前記吐出ポートが形成された前記カテーテルの部分を前記血管内移植片の壁部に対して押圧することから、上記吐出ポートは上記血管内移植片の壁部内へと導向される、請求項6記載のシステム。
  8. 前記膨張性ポリマ材料は放射線不透過モノマを取入れることで放射線不透過性とされる、請求項1記載のシステム。
  9. 前記ポリマ材料は、その環境のpHが7.4の生理学的pHであるときに該材料の膨張状態へと膨張する、請求項1記載のシステム。
  10. 前記ポリマ材料は前記カニューレを介して投入されるときにペレットの形態である、請求項1記載のシステム。
  11. 前記ポリマ材料は前記カニューレを介して投入されるときに長尺状のフィラメントもしくは管の形態である、請求項1記載のシステム。
  12. 前記ポリマ材料は前記カニューレを介して投入されるときに粒子の形態である、請求項1記載のシステム。
  13. 前記膨張性ポリマ材料は放射線不透過性である、請求項1記載のシステム。
  14. 前記カニューレは0.0127乃至0.127cm(0.005乃至0.050インチ)直径の内孔を有し、これを通して前記ポリマ材料が投入される、請求項1記載のシステム。
  15. 前記ポリマ材料は液体担体と混合される、請求項1記載のシステム。
  16. 前記ポリマ材料は取外し可能な送達部材に最初に取付けられ、
    上記ポリマ材料が取付けられた上記送達部材は前記カニューレを介して前記移植片周縁空間内へと前進され、且つ、
    その後、上記ポリマ材料は、上記送達部材が上記カニューレを介して近位端方向に引込められた後に該ポリマ材料が前記植設部位に植設されて残存する如く、上記送達部材から取り外される、請求項1記載のシステム。
  17. 前記ポリマ材料はその環境のpHが増大するにつれて更に迅速に膨張する、請求項1記載のシステム。
  18. 前記ポリマ材料はヒドロゲルである、請求項1記載のシステム。
  19. 前記ポリマ材料はその膨張状態において孔性である、請求項1記載のシステム。
  20. 前記孔性ポリマ材料は、実質的に完全に膨張されたとき、50乃至300マイクロメートルの直径の細孔を有する、請求項1記載のシステム。
  21. 前記ポリマ材料の多孔率は、実質的に完全に膨張されたとき、少なくとも10%である、請求項1記載のシステム。
  22. 前記ポリマ材料の前記多孔率は、実質的に完全に膨張されたとき、20%乃至95%である、請求項1記載のシステム。
