Claims (13)
- 流体中の分析物を検出するためのセンサ・アレイを形成する方法において、
基板上にマスクを配置する工程と、
マスクに開口を形成して基板の一部を露出させる工程と、
基板の露出した部分をエッチングして基板に空洞を形成する工程と、
上記空洞に粒子を挿入する工程とから成り、基板のマスクの下方にある部分をエッチングして、空洞の一部を覆うよう位置決めされた柔軟な突起を形成し、上記の柔軟な突起が実質的に空洞からの粒子の除去を阻止しすると共に使用中に粒子と分析物とが相互に作用するときに信号を生成するように構成されることを特徴とする方法。 - 粒子を媒体に曝露して粒子を収縮させ、空洞に挿入する工程をさらに含み、空洞に挿入した後の粒子の膨潤により空洞内に粒子が実質的に収容される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 空洞に粒子を挿入することが、柔軟な突起を介して空洞へ粒子を引き込む空気流を使用する工程を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 底部開口が空洞内に形成されるまで基板をエッジングすることを更に含む請求項1乃至3に記載の方法。
- 底部開口の幅は空洞の上部の幅より実質的に小さく粒子の幅より実質的に小さい請求項4に記載の方法。
- 柔軟な突起は可撓性であり、下方に向かって曲って粒子が空洞内に入り込むように機能すると共に柔軟な突起は上方に折り返して実質的に粒子を空洞に収納する請求項1乃至5のいづれかに記載した方法。
- 粒子はポリマー樹脂と結合したレセプター分子である請求項1乃至6のいづれかに記載した方法。
- 少くとも1つの空洞を有する基板と、分析物との相互作用により信号を発生するように上記空洞内に設けた粒子と、上記空洞の一部の上面に設けられた柔軟な突起とから構成され、上記柔軟な突起は使用中粒子の偏位を実質的に禁止するように構成したことを特徴とする流体内の分析物を検地するセンサ・アレイ。
- 底部開口は空洞内に形成した請求項8の記載のセンサ・アレイ。
- 底部開口の幅は空洞の上部の幅より実質的には小さく且つ粒子の幅より実質的に小さい請求項9に記載のセンサ・アレイ。
- 柔軟な突起は可撓性を示し、この突起は下方に曲って粒子を空洞内に導入すると共に上方に折り返って実質的に粒子を空洞内に収納する請求項8乃至10のいづれかに記載のセンサ・アレイ。
- 粒子はポリマー樹脂と結合したレセプター分子である請求項8乃至11のいづれかに記載のセンサ・アレイ。
- 基板の複数のチャンネルが設けられ、これらのチャンネルを介して空洞へそして空洞からと流体が流れるようにした請求項8乃至12のいづれかに記載のセンサ・アレイ。
