Abstract
【解決手段】燃料レベルセンサが抵抗素子とワイパー形接点アセンブリを有し、接点アセンブリは、シールされたハウジング内で抵抗素子に隣接して配置される。これにより、燃料タンク内の液体燃料レベルを示すために使用される信号を発生する。フロートレバーの一端はハウジングに係わり、他端はフロートに係わる。フロートは燃料タンク内の液体燃料レベルに応答する。フロートレバーはハウジングに隣接して配置された第一磁石を有する。ワイパー形接点アセンブリは第二磁石を有する。第一・第二磁石は電磁継手を構成して、燃料タンク内の燃料レベルに応答するフロートレバーの動きは、抵抗素子に対してワイパー形接点アセンブリを動かす。

Claims (13)
- 燃料レベルセンサであって、
チャンバを有するハウジングと、
該チャンバ内に配置された抵抗素子と、
フロートレバーと、該フロートレバーは、その第一端付近で該ハウジングに関連し、第二端付近で液体燃料内に配置されたフロートに関連して該フロートレバーが液体燃料のレベルに応答し、
該フロートレバーと共に動くように該フロートレバーと関連する第一磁石と、
該チャンバ内に配置されたワイパー形接点アセンブリと、該アセンブリは該抵抗素子に対して動いて可変抵抗信号を供給し、
該ワイパー形接点アセンブリに関連する第二磁石と、
を具備し、
該第二磁石と第一磁石とは電磁継手を構成して、液体燃料レベルの変化に応答した該フロートレバーの動きが、該抵抗素子に対するワイパー形接点アセンブリの動きに伝達されて、液体燃料レベルを示す可変抵抗信号を供給することを特徴とする上記燃料レベルセンサ。 - 前記ハウジングに取付けられたカバーを具備した請求項1記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記ハウジングと前記カバーが互いにシールされて、前記チャンバが少なくとも液体燃料から隔離された請求項2記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記ハウジングと前記カバーが、燃料耐性プラスチック材を有する請求項2記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記燃料耐性プラスチック材が、アセチルポリマーである請求項4記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記ハウジングと前記カバーが互いに溶接された請求項4記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記ハウジングは前記フロートアームを枢動可能に収容する挿入路を有する請求項1記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記フロートアームにレバーボディが取付けられ、該レバーボディに前記第一磁石が保持された請求項1記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 少なくとも一つの電気接続ピンを具備し、該接続ピンは前記抵抗素子に接続され、前記ハウジングに少なくとも一つの孔が形成され、該孔は対応する該接続ピンを収容して、信号が前記チャンバ内の前記ワイパー形接点アセンブリから前記ハウジングの外側に通過可能とした請求項1記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記孔の各々は、対応する前記接続ピンが前記孔に配置された時に前記ハウシングに締まりばめされる寸法である請求項9記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
レベルセンサ。 - 前記第一磁石は前記ハウジングの外に配置され、前記第二磁石は前記ハウジングの前記チャンバ内に配置され、前記第一・第二磁石は前記ハウジングを介して電磁継手を構成した請求項1記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 前記レバーボディと前記第一磁石が前記ハウジングの外に配置され、前記ワイパー形接点アセンブリと前記第二磁石が前記ハウジング内に配置された請求項8記載の燃料レベルセンサ。
- 燃料レベルセンサであって、
チャンバを有するハウジングと、
該チャンバ内に配置された抵抗素子と、
フロートレバーと、該フロートレバーは、その第一端付近で該ハウジングに枢動可能に関連し、第二端付近で液体燃料内に配置されたフロートに連結し、該フロートレバーは該ハウジングに隣接して配置された第一磁石を有し、
該抵抗素子に隣接して該チャンバ内に少なくとも部分的に配置されたワイパー形接点アセンブリと、該アセンブリは第二磁石を有し、
該ハウジングにシールされて該チャンバを閉じるカバーと、
を具備し、
該第一・第二磁石は電磁継手を構成し、該フロートレバーの動きが該抵抗素子に対するワイパー形接点アセンブリの動きに伝達されて、液体燃料レベルを示す可変抵抗信号を供給することを特徴とする上記燃料レベルセンサ。
