Abstract
【課題】 側方からの視認性が優れたDSD(dual select diode)方式の液晶表示装置用表示板及びこれを含む液晶表示装置を提供する。
【解決手段】 絶縁基板上に延設される第1及び第2走査信号線と、各々対向する方向に延設される第1及び第2引入電極とを有し、基板上の画素領域は、切開部によって第1及び第2画素電極に分割されている。基板中央部は第1及び第2絶縁膜を介して第1及び第2引入電極が重なっており、両端は第1及び第2画素電極と各々連結されている第1及び第2接触電極が形成されており、少なくとも第1及び第2引入電極と第1及び第2接触電極と重畳する面積が互いに異なる構成、第1画素電極と第1及び第2接触電極が接触する面積が互いに異なる構成などにより、第1及び第2画素電極に印加された電圧は差が生じる。

Claims (6)
- 第1信号線と、
前記第1信号線と同一方向に延設されている第2信号線と、
前記第1及び第2信号線と交差するデータ電極線と、
前記データ電極線と重なって液晶蓄電器を構成し、第1切開部によって2つの部分に分割されている第1及び第2画素電極と、
前記第1及び第2信号線と前記第1及び第2画素電極をDSD方式で各々連結し、前記第1及び第2画素電極に対して少なくとも2つ以上の異なる抵抗または大きさで連結されているダイオードと、
を含む液晶表示装置。 - 前記ダイオードはMIMダイオードである請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記データ電極線は前記第1切開部と共に画素を少なくとも2つ以上の小画素に分割する複数の切開部または突起を有する請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 絶縁基板と、
前記絶縁基板上に形成されている第1信号線と、
前記絶縁基板上に前記第1信号線と同一方向に延設されている第2信号線と、
前記絶縁基板の前記第1及び第2信号線の間に形成されており、1つの単位画素において切開部によって2つの部分に分割されている第1及び第2画素電極と、
前記第1及び第2信号線と前記第1及び第2画素電極をDSD方式で各々連結し、前記第1及び第2画素電極に対して少なくとも2つ以上の異なる抵抗または大きさで連結されているダイオードと、
を含む液晶表示装置用薄膜ダイオード表示板。 - 前記ダイオードはMIMダイオードからなる請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置用薄膜ダイオード表示板。
- 前記MIMダイオードは、前記第1及び第2信号線に連結されている第1及び第2引入電極と、前記第1及び第2引入電極を覆う第1及び第2絶縁膜と、一部は前記第1及び第2絶縁膜を介して前記第1及び第2引入電極と重なっており両端は前記第1及び第2画素電極と各々連結されている第1及び第2接触電極とからなる4個のMIMダイオードを含む請求項12に記載の液晶表示装置用薄膜ダイオード表示板。
