Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明は、第1及び第2基板;第1及び第2基板の間に形成されており、垂直配向モードである液晶層;第1基板の下に配置されており、第1支持体及び第2支持体の間に第1偏光媒質が配置されている下部偏光板;第2基板の上に配置されている補償フィルム;補償フィルムの上に配置されており、第3支持体及び第4支持体の間に第2偏光媒質が配置されている上部偏光板;を含み、水平方向の位相遅延をRo、垂直方向の位相遅延をR’とすれば、第2支持体のRoが0nm、R’が100nm乃至140nm、第3支持体のRoが0nm、R’が50nm乃至60nm、補償フィルムのRoが40nm乃至60nm、R’が80nm乃至100nmである液晶表示装置を提供する。

Claims (9)
- 第1及び第2基板;
前記第1及び第2基板の間に形成されており、垂直配向モードである液晶層;
前記第1基板の下に配置されており、第1支持体及び第2支持体の間に第1偏光媒質が配置されている下部偏光板;
前記第2基板の上に配置されている補償フィルム;
前記補償フィルムの上に配置されており、第3支持体及び第4支持体の間に第2偏光媒質が配置されている上部偏光板;を含み、
水平方向の位相遅延をRo、垂直方向の位相遅延をR’とすれば、
前記第2支持体のRoが0nm、RCが100nm乃至140nm、前記第3支持体のRoが0nm、R’が50nm乃至60nm、前記補償フィルムのRoが40nm乃至60nm、R’が80nm乃至100nmである、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第2支持体はTAC又はCAPのうちのいずれかである、請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記補償フィルムを構成する分子の長軸方向の屈折率をNx、短軸方向の屈折率をNy、垂直方向の屈折率をNzとすれば、前記補償フィルムは、Nx、Ny、及びNzが互いに異なる、請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 第1及び第2基板;
前記第1及び第2基板の間に形成されており、垂直配向モードである液晶層;
前記第1基板の下に配置されており、第1支持体及び第2支持体の間に第1偏光媒質が配置されている下部偏光板;
前記第2基板の上に配置されており、第3支持体及び第4支持体の間に第2偏光媒質が配置されている上部偏光板;を含み、
水平方向の位相遅延をRo、垂直方向の位相遅延をR’とすれば、
前記第2支持体のRoが0nm、R’が100nm乃至140nm、前記第3支持体のRoが40nm乃至60nm、R’が120nm乃至160nmである、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第3支持体の位相遅延軸は前記第2偏光媒質の吸収軸に対して垂直である、請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 第1及び第2基板;
前記第1及び第2基板の間に形成されており、垂直配向モードである液晶層;
前記第1基板の下に配置されており、第1支持体及び第2支持体の間に第1偏光媒質が配置されている下部偏光板;
前記第2基板の上に配置されており、第3支持体及び第4支持体の間に第2偏光媒質が配置されている上部偏光板;を含み、
水平方向の位相遅延をRo、垂直方向の位相遅延をR’とすれば、
前記第2支持体及び第3支持体のRoが40nm乃至50nm、R’が120nm乃至160nmである、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第2支持体の位相遅延軸は前記第1偏光媒質の吸収軸に対して垂直であり、前記第3支持体の位相遅延軸は前記第2偏光媒質の吸収軸に対して垂直である、請求項6に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 第1及び第2基板;
前記第1及び第2基板の間に形成されており、垂直配向モードである液晶層;
前記第1基板の下に配置されており、第1支持体及び第2支持体の間に第1偏光媒質が形成されている下部偏光板;
前記第2基板の上に配置されており、第3支持体及び第4支持体の間に第2偏光媒質が形成されている上部偏光板;を含み、
水平方向の位相遅延をRo、垂直方向の位相遅延をR’とすれば、
前記下部偏光板の第2支持体のRoが0nm、R’が50nm乃至60nm、前記第3支持体のRoが50nm乃至70nm、R’が210nm乃至250nmである、液晶表示装置。 - 前記第3支持体の位相遅延軸は前記第2偏光媒質の吸収軸に対して垂直である、請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
