Abstract
【解決手段】(1)相対密度が0.865〜0.915のメタロセンポリエチレン(A1)80〜20重量%と、メタロセンではないLLDPEポリエチレン(A2)20〜80重量%との混合物(A1)+(A2)に不飽和カルボン酸およびその誘導体の中から選択されるグラフト化モノマーが、上記混合物の30〜100,000ppmのグラフト化モノマーの含有率で、共グラフト化されたポリマー(A)10〜35重量%、(2)50〜90モル%のスチレンを含むスチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンブロックコポリマー(B)40〜60重量%、(3)PE(C)20〜35重量%からなり(合計100重量%)、(A)と(B)と(C)の混合物はMFI(メルトフローインデックス)(ASTM D1238、190℃/2.16kg)が0.1〜10g/10分であることを特徴とする共押出用バインダー。

Description
本発明はさらに、このバインダーを含む多層構造物と、この構造物を含む物品とにも関するものである。
少なくとも1層のPS層を含んだ構造物のための共押出用バインダーとして現在までに知られているものは無水マレイン酸がグラフトされたエチレン/酢酸ビニルコポリマーだけである。
(1)相対密度が0.865〜0.915のメタロセンポリエチレン(A1)80〜20重量%と、メタロセンではないLLDPEポリエチレン(A2)20〜80重量%との混合物(A1)+(A2)に不飽和カルボン酸およびその誘導体の中から選択されるグラフト化モノマーが上記混合物中のグラフト化モノマーの含有率が30〜100,000ppmとなるように共グラフト化されたポリマー(A) 10〜35重量%、
(2)50〜90モル%のスチレンを含むスチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンブロックコポリマー(B)40〜60重量%
(3)ポリエチレンPE(C) 20〜35重量%
からなり(合計100重量%)、(A)と(B)と(C)の混合物はMFI(メルトフローインデックス)(ASTM D1238、190℃/2.16kg)が0.1〜10g/10分であることを特徴とする共押出用バインダーを提供する。
本発明バインダーはその製造法にも利点がある。すなわち、本発明バインダーは一般に溶融混合、大抵は溶融グラフト化で作られ、押出機、その他の任意装置の出口でペレットの形で得られるが、本発明バインダーのペレット化はグラフトされたエチレン/酢酸ビニル型のバインダーよりもはるかに容易であるということを本出願人は見出した。
本発明バインダーの一実施例では、ポリマー混合物(A1)+(A2)中のグラフト化モノマーの比率は600〜5,000ppmである。
本発明バインダーの一実施例では、グラフト化モノマーが無水マレイン酸である。
本発明はさらに、上記のバインダーからなる層(L)と、この層(L)の両面の一方の面に直接結合したポリスチレンのホモまたはコポリマーの層(E)とを含む多層構造物を提供する。
本発明のさらに他の対象は上記構造物を含む物品にある。
以下、本発明を詳細に説明する。
(A1)の相対密度は0.870〜0.900であるのが有利である。
コモノマーとして使用可能な3〜30個の炭素原子を有するαオレフィンの例としてはプロピレン、1-ブテン、1-ペンテン、3-メチル-1-ブテン、1-ヘキセン、4-メチル-1- ペンテン、3-メチル-1- ペンテン、1-オクテン、1-デセン、1-ドデセン、1-テトラデセン、1-ヘキサデセン、1-オクタデセン、1-エイコセン、1-ドコセン、1-テトラコセン、1-ヘキサコセン、1-オクタコセンおよび1-トリアコンテンが挙げられる。これらのαオレフィンは単独または2種類以上の混合物で使用することができる。
ブチルアミド、不飽和カルボン酸のイミド誘導体、例えばマレイミド、N-ブチルマレイミドおよびN-フェニルマレイミド、不飽和カルボン酸金属塩、例えばソジウムアクリレート、ソジウムメタクリレート、ポタシウムアクリレートおよびポタシウムメタクリレートが挙げられる。無水マレイン酸が好ましい。
この混合物は一般にポリオレフィンの加工に用いられる添加剤、例えば置換フェノール分子等をベースとする抗酸化剤、紫外線防止剤、脂肪酸アミド、ステアリン酸およびステアリン酸の塩等の加工助剤、押出欠陥防止剤として知られるフッ素化ポリマー、アミンベースの防曇剤、シリカまたはタルク等の粘着防止剤、カラーマスターバッチ、核剤等を10ppm〜50,000ppmの量で含むことができる。
グラフト化モノマーの量はIRTF分光分析法でコハク酸基を定量して求める。
共グラフト化された(A)(すなわち(A1)+(A2))のMFIは0.1〜10g/10分であるのが有利である。
本発明バインダーは多層構造物、例えばフィルム、シート、パイプおよび中空体、例えばガソリンタンクで用いられる。
本発明の多層構造物は上記バインダーからなる層(L)と、この層(L)の第1の面に直接結合した層(E)とを含む。この層(E)はスチレンのホモポリマーまたはコポリマー層である。
多層構造物はさらに、バインダーからなる層(L)が2つの層(F)の間にサンドイッチされたものにすることもできる。
(1) (E)層/(L)層/(F)層型の構造物:PS/L/PE、PS/L/EVOH/ L/PS、PS/L/PA、
(2) (E)層/(L)層/(F)層および(F)層/(L)層/(F)層型の構造物:PS/L/PA/ L/PEおよびPS/L/EVOH/L/PE。
本発明構造物の各層は添加物、例えば充填剤、安定化剤、滑剤、帯電防止剤および難燃剤をさらに含むことができる。
本発明構造物は熱可塑性樹脂の分野で公知の共押出成形法および押出しブロー成形法で製造することができる。
〔表4〕はt0(時間=0)およびt8(8日に相当)での剥離強度Fを示している。剥離強度はバインダー層(L)とPS層との間およびバインダー層(L)とEVOH層との間で剥離試験を行って測定した。これらの試験で使用したフィルムはcas 1では3層(PS層/バインダー層(L)/PA層、厚さはそれぞれ75/5/70μm)で構成される共押出フィルムであり、cas 2は5層(PS層/バインダー層(L)/EVOH層/バインダー層(L)/PE層、厚さはそれぞれ20/10/10/10/80μm)で構成されるフィルムである。
この試験の目的は実施例1〜実施例4の組成物はPSとEVOHの両方に対して優れた接着性が得られることを証明することにある。
この試験の目的はPSとEVOHの両方を含む構造物で上記観察結果を確認することにある。
Claims (8)
- 下記(1)および(3):
(1)相対密度が0.865〜0.915のメタロセンポリエチレン(A1)80〜20重量%と、メタロセンではないLLDPEポリエチレン(A2)20〜80重量%との混合物(A1)+(A2)に不飽和カルボン酸およびその誘導体の中から選択されるグラフト化モノマーが、上記混合物の30〜100,000ppmのグラフト化モノマーの含有率で、共グラフト化されたポリマー(A) 10〜35重量%、
(2)50〜90モル%のスチレンを含むスチレン/ブタジエン/スチレンブロックコポリマー(B)40〜60重量%
(3)PE(C) 20〜35重量%
からなり(合計100重量%)、(A)と(B)と(C)の混合物はMFI(メルトフローインデックス)(ASTM D1238、190℃/2.16kg)が0.1〜10g/10分であることを特徴とする共押出用バインダー。 - ポリエチレン(A2)の相対密度が0.900〜0.950である請求項1に記載のバインダー。
- ポリマー混合物(A1)+(A2)中のグラフト化モノマーの比率が600〜5,000ppmである請求項1または2に記載のバインダー。
- グラフト化モノマーが無水マレイン酸である請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のバインダー。
- PE(C)が0.870〜0.935の相対密度を有し、LLDPEまたはメタロセンPEである請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のバインダー。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のバインダーからなる層(L)と、この層(L)の一方の面に直接結合したポリスチレンのホモまたはコポリマー層(E)とを有する多層構造物。
- 上記層(L)の他方の面に層(F)が直接結合し、層(L)は層(E)と(F)との間に挟まれており、上記の層(F)がポリアミド、脂肪族ポリケトン、エチレン/酢酸ビニル鹸化コポリマー(EVOH)、ポリエチレン、ポリエステルおよびポリスチレンからなる群の中から選択されるポリマー層か、金属の層である請求項6に記載の構造物。
- 請求項6または7に記載の構造物を含む物品。
