であって、該動物が、該原発性腫瘍に対して免疫無防備であるかまたは同系であ
り、そして該原発性腫瘍が、該動物に対するGFPの発現系を含むレトロウイル
スベクターを投与することによって、該発現系を含むように改変されているか、
または該原発性腫瘍が、外科同所移植により移殖され、そして該GFPの1つの
発現系を含む、工程; 該処置された動物における種々の位置にて、該蛍光の存在、非存在または強度
を観察することによって転移の進行をモニターする工程; 緑色蛍光タンパク質を発現する同様の腫瘍を含むコントロール動物において腫
瘍の進行をモニターする工程;および 該コントロール動物において腫瘍の進行と、該処置された動物において転移の
進行とを比較する工程; を包含し、それによって、該コントロール動物と比較したときの、該処置された
動物における腫瘍の進行の減少が、転移の阻害において有効であるとして該プロ
トコルまたは薬物を同定する、方法。 - 【請求項2】 前記原発性腫瘍が、前記動物に対して前記発現系を含むレト
ロウイルスベクターを投与することによって、GFPの発現系を含むように改変
されている、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 【請求項3】 前記動物がウサギ、ラットまたはマウスである、請求項1ま
たは2に記載の方法。 - 【請求項4】 前記モニターする工程が、インタクトな動物における蛍光光
学腫瘍画像化(FOTI)によってである、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載
の方法。 - 【請求項5】 原発性腫瘍の転移の阻害のための候補となるプロトコルまた
は薬物を評価するための方法であって、該方法が、以下: 原発性腫瘍が転移した場合に、緑色蛍光タンパク質(GFP)を高レベルで安
定に発現する該原発性腫瘍を含む動物に、該プロトコルまたは薬物を投与する工
程であって、該原発性腫瘍が、該動物に対して該発現系を含むレトロウイルスベ
クターを投与することによって、GFPの発現系を含むように改変されている、
工程、 該処置された動物における種々の位置にて、該蛍光の存在、非存在または強度

非存在または強度を観察することによって、該原発性腫瘍を含む動物における転
移の進行をモニターする工程であって、該原発性腫瘍が転移した場合に、該原発
性腫瘍が緑色蛍光タンパク質(GFP)を高レベルで安定に発現し、そして該原
発性腫瘍が内因性であり、かつ該動物に対して、該発現系を含むレトロウイルス
ベクターを投与することによって、該原発性腫瘍にGFPの発現系が提供されて
いる、工程、 を包含する、方法。 - 【請求項8】 前記発現系がウイルスプロモーターを含む、請求項7に記載
の方法。 - 【請求項9】 前記動物がヒトである、請求項7または8に記載の方法。
- 【請求項10】 前記原発性腫瘍が、外科的同所移植によって移殖され、そ
して前記GFPの1つの発現系を含み、そして前記モニターする工程が、前記イ
