Abstract
Description
発明は放射線治療の生理的ゲーティングのための方法及びシステムに関するもの
である。
選択的に照射する医学的処置を含んでいる。放射線治療の目的は、有害組織が破
壊されるように目標生体組織に放射線を照射することである。ある種の放射線治
療では、必要以上の放射線照射が健全な組織を損傷するのを避けるために、腫瘍
又は目標組織領域の寸法及び形状に合わせて放射線照射容量が限定されることが
できる。例えば、立体照射治療(conformal therapy)は、治療部分を目標とされ
た腫瘍により近づけることにより放射線量分布を最適化するのにしばしば用いら
れる1つの放射線治療技術である。

する速度に比べて比較的速い運動を含むかもしれないということである。かくし
て、純粋に反作用的なゲーティングシステムは、照射された放射線を有効にゲー
ティングするのに十分に速く反作用を及ぼすことはできないであろう。例えば、
ゲーティングシステムは、放射線処理をゲーティングするためのスイッチを含ん
でいてもよく、ここにおいては、スイッチが十分に動作するには、所定の期間Δ

てもよく、本発明で用いられる正確な数は、それが用いられる特定の用途に依存
する。

のようなマーカー114は、検出しやすく、かつカメラ108によって生成され
るビデオ画像を介して追跡しやすいからである。好ましいマーカー114の反射
性又は逆反射性の特性により、とくにカメラ108と照射源とが同一位置にある
ときには、マーカー114は先天的に、カメラ108などの光検出装置に対して
、ビデオ画像に高コントラストをもたらす。

定するために、該ビデオフレームの画素が全て検査されなければならないかもし
れないということである。かくして、ある実施の形態では、マーカー114の位
置の最初の決定には、ビデオフレームの画素を全て検査することを必要とする。
もしビデオフレームが640×480の画素を含んでいれば、マーカー114の
位置を見つけるために、全部で307200(640×480)個の画素が最初に
検査される。
アルタイムで決定すべくあらゆるビデオフレームについてあらゆる画素を検査す
れば、大量のシステムリソースを消費することになる。かくして、ある実施の形
態では、ビデオフレーム内ですでに確認されたマーカー114の位置の推定に基
づいて設けられる、ここでは「追跡ゲート」と呼ばれるビデオフレームの小領域
を処理することにより、リアルタイムでのマーカー114の追跡が促進されるこ
とができる。以前のビデオフレーム内で定められたマーカー114の以前に決定
された位置は、同一マーカーに対する初期検索範囲(即ち、追跡ゲート)をリア
ルタイムで定めるために用いられる。追跡ゲートは、マーカー114の以前の位
置を中心とするビデオフレームの比較的小さい部分である。追跡ゲートは、マー
カー114の新たな位置を含まない場合に限り拡張される。一例として、特定マ
ーカーについて以前に決定された位置がビデオフレーム内の画素(50,50)
である状況について考察する。もし追跡ゲートがビデオフレームの50×50の
領域に限られていれば、この事例に対する追跡ゲートは、座標(25,50)、(
75,50)、(50,25)及び(50,75)によって画成される領域内に入っ
ている画素を含むであろう。ビデオフレームのその他の部分は、マーカー106
がこの追跡ゲート内で見出されない場合に限って検索される。

は危険にさらされている器官からの目標部分の最大の離間を伴う挙動信号の部分
を確認することを含む。かくして、放射線ビームパターンは、患者の挙動を考慮
した上で、可能な限り最小のマージン(margin)でもって形づくられることができ
る。
図3に、挙動信号チャート200中に示された挙動データについて規定された、
信号範囲302により示された治療間隔の一例が示されている。図3の例におい
ては、0.8の値(上側の境界線304で示されている)を超える測定された体の
位置の動き、又は0.0の値(下側の境界線306で示されている)より下で移動
する測定された体の位置の動きは、いずれも治療間隔の境界外となっている。

いる放射線を照射する方法。 - 【請求項2】 第1の信号データ集合と第2の信号データ集合とが、自動相
関関数を用いてパターンマッチングされる請求項1に記載の方法。 - 【請求項3】 第1の信号データ集合と第2の信号データ集合とが、絶対差
分関数を用いてパターンマッチングされる請求項1に記載の方法。 - 【請求項4】 さらに、第1の信号データ集合と第2の信号データ集合との
