Description

本発明の方法は、上述の新規コーティング材料を所定の基板に塗布することに関する。好適な実施形態によると、この方法はテフロン（商標）又はフレコート（商標）のような離型剤を、合成物を硬化するために使用される工具の表面に塗布する初期工程を有する。その後、この表面上にＬＣＰが、従来のスプレー技術により溶射され、又は薄膜として工具上に配置される。ＬＣＰが、０．００２〜０．０１０インチ（５．１×１０−５〜２．５×１０−４ｍ）の厚さに塗布されることが望ましい。その後、構造部品を形成する複合材積層材料は、コーティングされた工具表面に塗布され、そのまま硬化される。追加の工程として、硬化に先立って、硬化されていない複合材とコーティングされた表面との間に接着剤を塗布してもよい。硬化後、ＬＣＰコーティングをその上に備える構造物は、工具から除去され、最終アッセンブリに使用される。
図面を参照する。本発明の液晶ポリマーを塗布する方法が図１に概略的に示される。図に示されるように、プロセス１０は、複合構造物を硬化するために使用される工具の表面を、離型剤、例えばテフロン（商標）、フレコート（商標）、又はこの技術において公知の多様な薬剤のうちのいずれかをコーティングする初期工程２０を有する。その後、第２工程３０において、工具表面の離型剤の上にＬＣＰが溶射される。
