Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.低い方の目標とする心拍度数を決定し、 高い方の目標とする心拍度数を決定し エクササイズ装置において使用者がエクササイズを行なっている間、前記使 用者の心拍度数を測定し、 前記使用者の心拍度数を測定しながら、前記使用者が前記高い方の目標とす る心拍度数が得られるまで前記エクササイズ装置から与えられる負荷を交互に増 加し、そして 前記使用者が前記低い方の目標とする心拍度数か得られるまで前記エクササ イズ装置から与えられる前記負荷を交互に低下させるステップを有する心肺のイ ンターバルトレーニングの方法であって、 心肺のインターバルトレーニングが、前記高い方と低い方の目標とする心拍 度数の間において得られる方法。 2.前記負荷は、第1の所定の率において増加させられる請求項1の方法。 3.前記負荷は、第2の所定の率において低下させられる請求項1の方法。 4.さらに、前記高い方の目標とする心拍度数が得られた場合に、前記負荷を所 定の時間最大値に保持する請求項1の方法。 5.さらに、前記エクササイズ装置の最大負荷が得られる度に、前記負荷を所定 の時間、最大の大きさに保持する請求項1の方法。 6.さらに、前記高い方の目標とする心拍度数あるいは前記エクササイズ装置の 最大可能負荷の内、いずれか早い方が達成される度に、負荷を所定の時間保持す る請求項1の方法。 7.さらに、前記使用者の心拍度数の測定が失われる度に、前記負荷の変更を一 時的に停止し、その後前記使用者の心拍度数が再度得られたときに、前記負荷の 変更を継続する請求項1の方法。 8.前記エクササイズ装置は、速度および高度調節の双方を備えたトレッドミル であり、さらに前記トレッドミルにおいて使用者がエクササイ ズを行ないたいと所望する最大速度を決定し、前記最大速度が達成されるまで前 記速度調節における増加毎に前記負荷が増加される請求項1の方法。 9.さらに、前記高度調節を増加することによって、前記高い方の目標とする心 拍度数が得られなかった場合、前記最大速度が達成された後に前記負荷を増加さ せる請求項8の方法。 10.さらに、前記高い方の目標とする心拍度数が得られなかった場合、所定の 時間トレッドミルを前記最大速度および最大高度に保持し、前記高い方の目標と する心拍度数が得られた場合には、速度の増加と高度の調節を停止する請求項9 の方法。 11.前記負荷を低下させるには、まず前記トレッドミルの前記高度調節が存在 する場合には所定の率において低下させた後、低い方の目標とする心拍度数が得 らるまで前記前記トレッドミルの前記速度調節を低下させる請求項9の方法。 12.前記低い方の目標とする心拍度数と高い方の目標とする心拍度数とは、所 定の最小数の1分当たりの拍数によって分離されている請求項1の方法。 13.使用者から出力される運動を画定するための調節可能な負荷を有するエク ササイズ装置と、 前記使用者の心拍度数を測定する心拍モニターと、 前記負荷に連結されて、使用者からの高い方の目標とする心拍度数の入力 と低い方の目標とする心拍度数の入力とを受けると共に、前記心拍モニターから の測定された心拍度数信号を受けるためのコントローラであって、前記コントロ ーラは、前記負荷を前記入力と測定された心拍度数信号とに応じて制御して、前 記負荷を第1の所定の率において増加させることによって前記高い方の目標とす る心拍度数を達成し、その後前記負荷を第1の所定の率において低下させて低い 方の目標とする心拍度数にする、心肺のインターバルトレーニングを提供するた めの装置であって、 それにより心肺のインターバルトレーニングを得る装置。 14.前記コントローラは、前記高い方の目標とする心拍度数あるいは前記装置 が許容できる最大負荷のいずれかが得られるまで前記負荷を増加し、その後前記 負荷を所定の時間固定のレベルに保持するために用いられる請求項13の装置。 15.前記コントローラは、有効な測定された心拍度数信号が前記心拍モニター によって得られなくなる度に、前記負荷をその現行の値に保持するために用いら れる請求項13の装置。 16.前記エクササイズ装置は、調節可能な速度および高度を有するトレッドミ ルである請求項13の装置。 17.前記コントローラは、使用者によって定められた最大速度が得られた後に 前記トレッドミルの前記速度調節を増減させて、その後前記使用者による最大速 度あるいは装置の最小速度が得られた場合にのみ、前記トレッドミルの高度調節 を増減させるために用いられる請求項16の装置。
