Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. 顕微鏡スライドガラスに固定された細胞標本内の、可視的に検出可能な沈殿 物識別マーカの量を評価する方法であって、 顕微鏡スライドガラスに固定した細胞標本の拡大ビューのデジタル画像を得る 段階と、 細胞標本内の複数の目的の候補物質を識別するためにカラーデジタル画像を処 理する段階と、 複数の目的の候補物質内で識別した目的の候補物質の中心を識別する段階と、 識別された各中心周囲の領域の各画素について、少なくとも2つの色成分の色 比率を計算する段階と、 所定の色比率しきい値を超える計算された色比率を有する各中心周囲の領域内 に存在する全ての画素について、平均色比率を計算する段階と、 各中心周囲の領域内に存在する沈殿物識別マーカの量を測定するために、計算 された平均色比率を少なくとも1つの密度しきい値と比較する段階と、 を有することを特徴とする方法。 2. 前記色比率計算段階がさらに、 各画素について、赤画素成分の緑画素成分に対する色比率を計算する段階を有 すること特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 3. 前記色比率計算段階がさらに、 領域内の各画素について、第1画素色成分と第2画素色成分との差の、前記第1 画素色成分と前記第2画素色成分との和に対する色比率を計算する段階を有する ことを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 4. 前記第1画素色成分が赤であり、前記第2画素色成分が緑であることを特徴と する請求の範囲3に記載の方法。 5. 各中心周囲の各領域内に存在する沈殿物識別マーカの量の等級を決定するた めに、前記計算された平均色比率を比較する前記比較段階が、複数の順序付けら れたしきい値と比較することを特徴とする請求の範囲3に記載の方法。 6. 細胞標本のスコアを決定するために、複数の領域の等級を合計する段階を さらに有することを特徴とする請求の範囲5に記載の方法。 7. 前記細胞標本スコアが、細胞標本内で識別された100の中心周囲の100の領域 の等級の合計であることを特徴とする請求の範囲6に記載の方法。 8. 前記2つの色成分の差をノイズしきい値と比較する段階と、 前記ノイズしきい値よりも大きな前記2つの色成分の差に応答して、前記色比 率を計算する段階と、 をさらに有すること特徴とする請求の範囲3に記載の方法。 9. 前記画素の色比率を計算するかどうかを決定するために、最大値を有する画 素の色成分を白しきい値と比較し、最小値を有する画素の色成分を黒しきい値と 比較する段階をさらに有することを特徴とする請求の範囲3に記載の方法。 10. 顕微鏡スライドガラスに固定された細胞標本内の、可視的に検出可能な沈 殿物識別マーカの量を評価する方法であって、 顕微鏡スライドガラスに固定された細胞標本の拡大ビューのカラーデジタル画 像を得るための画像プロセッサと、 前記細胞標本内で目的の候補物質を識別する手段と、 目的の候補物質の各々の中心を識別する手段と、 識別された各中心の周囲にある領域の各画素について、少なくとも2つの色成 分の色比率を計算する手段と、 所定の比率しきい値を越える計算された色比率を有する、各中心の周囲にある 領域内に存在する全ての画素について平均色比率を計算する手段と、 各中心の周囲にある各領域内に存在する沈殿物識別マーカの量を評価するため に、計算した平均比率を、少なくとも1つの密度しきい値と比較する手段と、 を有することを特徴とするシステム。 11. 色比率を計算する前記手段が、赤画素成分の緑画素成分に対する比率を計 算することを特徴とする請求の範囲8に記載のシステム。 12. 色比率を計算する前記手段が、第1画素色成分と第2画素色成分との差の、 前記第1画素色成分と前記第2画素色成分との和に対する比率を計算することを特 徴とする請求の範囲8に記載のシステム。 13. 前記第1画素色成分が赤であり、前記第2画素色成分が緑であることを特徴 とする請求の範囲10に記載のシステム。 14. 計算した平均色比率を比較するための前記手段が、各中心の周囲にある各 領域内のマーカの量の等級を決定するために、前記計算した平均色比率を複数の 順序付けられたしきい値と比較することを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載のシス テム。 15. 前記細胞標本のスコアを決定するために、複数の領域の等級を合計する手 段をさらに有することを特徴とする請求の範囲12に記載のシステム。 16. 前記合計手段が、前記細胞標本内で識別された100の中心周囲の100の領域 の等級を合計することを特徴とする請求の範囲13に記載のシステム。 17. 顕微鏡スライドガラスに固定された細胞標本内の、可視的に検出可能な沈 殿物識別マーカの量を評価する方法であって、 複数の目的の候補物質内の各目的の候補物質について中心を識別する段階と、 各識別された中心の周囲にある領域の各画素について、少なくとも2つの色成 分の色比率を計算する段階と、 所定の色比率しきい値を超える計算された色比率を有する、各中心の周囲にあ る前記領域内の全ての画素について平均色比率を計算する段階と、 各中心の周囲にある各領域内に存在する沈殿物識別マーカの量を評価するため に、前記計算された平均色比率を少なくとも2つの密度しきい値と比較する段階 と、 を有することを特徴とする方法。 18. 中心の周囲にある前記領域が整った形状の領域であることを特徴とする請 求の範囲1に記載の方法。 19. 前記整った形状の領域が平行四辺形であることを特徴とする請求の範囲1 に記載の方法。 20. 前記色比率計算段階が、 前記領域内の各画素について、第1画素色成分と第2画素色成分との差の、前記 第1画素色成分と前記第2画素色成分との和に対する色比率を計算する段階をさら に有することを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 21. 前記第1画素色成分が赤であり、前記第2画素色成分が緑であることを特徴 とする請求の範囲3に記載の方法。 22. 各中心の周囲にある各領域内に存在する沈殿物識別マーカの量の等級を決 定するために、前記計算された平均色比率を比較する前記比較手段を、複数の順 序付けられたしきい値と比較することを特徴とする請求の範囲3に記載の方法。 23. 前記細胞標本のスコアを決定するために、複数の領域の等級を合計する段 階をさらに有することを特徴とする請求の範囲5に記載の方法。 24. 前記2つの色成分の差を、ノイズしきい値と比較する段階と、 前記ノイズしきい値よりも大きな前記2つの色成分差に応答して、前記色比率 を計算する段階と、 を有することを特徴とする請求の範囲20に記載の方法。 25. 前記画素の色比率が計算されたかどうかを決定するために、最大値を有す る画素の色成分を白しきい値と比較し、最小値を有する画素の色成分を黒しきい 値と比較する段階をさらに有することを特徴とする請求の範囲20に記載の方法。 26. 顕微鏡スライドガラスに固定された細胞標本内に存在する沈殿物識別マー カの量をスコアするシステムであって、 前記細胞標本の拡大ビューの画像データにおける目的の候補物質の中心周囲の 領域内に存在する画素について、色比率を計算する色比率生成器と、 標準化された色比率内にどの色比率が含まれているかを決定するために、前記 計算した色比率を所定のしきい値と比較する色比率比較測定機と、 標準化された色比率を生成するための色比率ノーマライザと、 前記標準化された色比率から、目的の候補物質に等級を生成するための等級生 成器と、 所定数の目的の候補物質の等級を合計することによって、前記細胞標本内に存 在する沈殿物識別マーカの量を示すスコアを生成するためのスコア生成器と、 を有することを特徴とするシステム。 27.前記色比率生成器が、 画素の色比率が計算されたかどうかを決定するために、前記色比率生成器によ って使用されるノイズしきい値をさらに有することを特徴とする請求の範囲26に 記載のシステム。 28. 前記色比率生成器が、 画素の色比率が計算されたかどうかを決定するために、前記色比率生成器によ って使用される白しきい値と黒しきい値を有することを特徴とする請求の範囲26 に記載のシステム。
