- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.昆虫に経口施用するのに適しており、Xenorhabdus種から獲得可 能な殺虫性材料、その殺虫性フラグメント、又はこれらのいずれかの殺虫性変異 体もしくは誘導体を含む殺昆虫組成物。 2.前記殺虫性材料が図2の塩基配列によりコードされる材料、その変異体もし くは誘導体、又は前記配列にハイブリダイズする配列を含む請求項1に記載の組 成物。 3.Xenorhabdusの細胞を含む請求項1又は2に記載の組成物。 4.Xenorhabdus種の細胞培養物から抽出した上清を含む請求項1か ら3のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。 5.Xenorhabdus種がXenorhabdus nematophi lusである請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。 6.Xenorhabdus種がATCC19061、NCIMB40886又 はNCIMB40887である請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。 7.Xenorhabdusから獲得不能な別の殺虫性材料を含む請求項1から 6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。 8.前記別の殺虫性材料がB.thuringiensisから獲得可能な材料 を含む請求項7に記載の組成物。 9.B.thuringiensisの細胞を更に含む請求項8に記載の組成物 。 10.B.thuringiensisから獲得可能な殺虫性材料がδ内毒素を 含む請求項8に記載の組成物。 11.農業上許容可能なキャリヤーを更に含む請求項1から10のいずれか一項 に記載の組成物。 12.キャリヤーが昆虫飼料物品を含む請求項10に記載の組成物。 13.請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を害虫又はその環境に施 用することを特徴とする昆虫害虫の駆除又は防除方法。 14.害虫が鱗翅目又は相翅目昆虫である請求項12に記載の方法。 15.Xenorhabdus株NCIMB40886を含む微生物。 16.Xenorhabdus株NCIMB40887を含む微生物。 17.配列番号1を含むDNA又はその変異体もしくはフラグメントによりコー ドされるタンパク質を含む毒素を含む殺虫剤。 18.X.nematophilus又はその突然変異体の培養物から獲得可能 であり、Pieris brassicae、Pieris rapae及びP lutella xylostellaに対して経口殺虫活性をもち、55℃ま で実質的に熱安定性であり、タンパク性であり、経口殺虫剤としてB.thur ingiensis細胞と相乗作用し、トリプシン及びプロテイナーゼKによる タンパク分解に実質的に耐性であることを特徴とする単離殺虫剤。 19.ドデシル硫酸ナトリウムもしくはアセトンで処理するか又は80℃まで加 熱することにより殺虫活性が実質的に失われることを更に特徴とする請求項18 に記載の単離殺虫剤。 20.細胞外タンパク質であることを更に特徴とする請求項18又は19に記載 の単離殺虫剤。 21.請求項17から20のいずれか一項に記載の殺虫剤をコードする組換えD NA。 22.図2の配列又はその変異体もしくはフラグメントを含む 請求項21に記載の組換えDNA。 23.図2の配列の全部もしくは一部を含むか又はストリンジェント条件下で図 2の配列の全部もしくは一部とハイブリダイズし、殺虫性材料をコードする組換 えDNA。 24.請求項21から23のいずれか一項に記載の組換えDNAを含む発現ベク ター。 25.請求項24に記載の発現ベクターで形質転換された宿主生物。 26.他の殺虫性タンパク性毒性強化材料も発現するように操作又は選択された 請求項25に記載の宿主生物。 27.請求項17から20のいずれか一項に記載の殺虫剤の殺虫活性部分と、他 の殺虫性タンパク性毒性強化材料を併有する融合タンパク質をコードする塩基配 列を含む宿主生物。 28.殺虫性毒性強化材料がB.thuringiensisからのδ内毒素を 含む請求項27に記載の宿主生物。 29.宿主が植物である請求項25から289のいずれか一項に記載の宿主生物 。 30.宿主が昆虫病原性ウイルスである請求項25から28のいずれか一項に記 載の宿主生物。 31.請求項27に記載の宿主生物により発現される融合タンパク質。 32.請求項17から20のいずれか一項に記載の1種以上の殺虫剤を含む殺虫 組成物。
