Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数の燃料噴射器(12)と、燃料供給手段と、個々の燃料噴射器(12) に直接燃料の流れを連続的に引き起こすように作動する噴射ポンプ(10)と を含むエンジンを有する自動車用の自動車速度制限装置であって、 エンジン速度に関連した速度信号を生じさせるための速度感知手段(38, 40,42)と、燃料供給手段に接続された圧力調整器(24)と、エンジン への燃料の流れを計量する燃料制御手段(16)とを有し、燃料制御手段(1 6)は、圧力調整器(24),燃料供給手段及び噴射ポンプ(10)に接続さ れ、燃料制御手段(16)は、燃料供給手段と噴射ポンプ(10)との間に比 較的大きい通路(46)及び燃料供給手段と噴射ポンプ(10)との間に比較 的小さい通路(60)も含み、燃料制御手段(16)は、通常、大きい通路( 46)を通る燃料の流れを可能にする開いた状態にあり、燃料制御手段(16 )は、大きい通路(46)を通る燃料の流れを阻止し、かつ、小さい通路(6 0)のみを通る燃料の流れを許す閉鎖状態に作動でき、圧力調整手段(24) は、通常、燃料制御手段(16)から燃料供給手段に戻る燃料の流れを阻止す る閉鎖状態にあり、圧力調整手段(24)は、燃料制御手段(16)の閉鎖状 態への動作と同時にそのような戻り流れを許す開状態に作動でき、燃料制御手 段(16)を開状態に、かつ、圧力調整手段(24)を閉鎖状態に置くように 作動し、さらに予め設定された限度を超えた速度信号に応答して圧力調整手段 (24)を開状態に、燃料制御手段(16)を閉鎖状態に置くように作動する システム制御手段(30)を有し、噴射ポンプ(10)への燃料の流れが燃料 制御手段(16)の小さい通路(60)に制限される自動車速度制限装置。 2.噴射ポンプ(10)は、閉じた状態の燃料制御手段(16)の配置により、 噴射ポンプ(10)と噴射ノズル(12)の間の低残留量の燃料に特徴を有す るインライン低容積タイプである、請求項1に記載の自動車速度制限装置。 3.エンジンはディーゼルエンジンである請求項1に記載の自動車速度制限装置 。 4.速度信号はタコグラフ(38)によって与えら与えられる請求項1ないし請 求項3のいずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。 5.速度信号は信号発生装置(42)によって供給される請求項1ないし請求項 3 のいずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。 6.速度信号は磁気センサー(40)によって与えられる請求項1ないし請求項 3のいずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。 7.燃料制御手段(16)は、燃料制御手段(16)を開状態に置くためのシス テム制御手段によって賦勢可能なソレノイドを有する燃料制御バルブ(48) を含む先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。 8.圧力調整手段(24)は、圧力調整手段(24)を閉鎖状態に置くためのシ ステム制御手段によって賦勢可能なソレノイドを有する調整バルブ(64)を 含む先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。 9.燃料制御手段(16)は、圧力調整手段(24)が閉鎖状態にあるときは常 に開状態で、圧力調整手段(24)が開状態にあるときは、小さな通路(60 )を通る限られた燃料の流れを除いて、常に閉鎖状態にある先行する請求項の いずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。 10.小さな通路(60)は直径がほぼ0.05センチメートルのオリフィスで ある先行する請求項のいずれかに記載の自動車速度制限装置。
