Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. RF帯域幅内にあるRF信号を、前記RF帯域幅以下の送信帯域幅を有する 低帯域幅媒体を通して送信するためのシステムであって、 a)前記RF信号を受信するための受信手段と、 b)前記低帯域幅媒体の前記送信帯域幅内周波数において、高安定性のグロ ーバル基準トーンを前記システムに提供するためのグローバル基準発振器 と、 c)前記グローバル基準トーンから抽出される第1調整信号で制御され、そ れにより、高安定性の第1RF基準トーンを生成する第1局部発振器と、 d)前記受信手段と前記第1局部発振器とに接続され、前記RF信号と前記 第1RF基準トーンとをミキシングして前記送信帯域幅内のIF信号を生 成する第1ミキシング手段であって、前記低帯域幅媒体を通して前記IF 信号を供給するために前記低帯域幅媒体にも接続される前記第1ミキシン グ手段と、 e)前記第1局部発信器から遠隔地にある第2局部発振器であって、前記グ ローバル基準トーンから抽出される第2調整信号によって制御され、それ により、第1RF基準トーンと同じ周波数で高安定性の第2RF基準トー ンを生成する前記第2局部発振器と、 f)前記第2局部発振器と低帯域幅媒体とに接続され、前記IF信号を受信 して前記第2RF基準トーンとミキシングして前記RF信号を回復するた めの第2ミキシング手段と、 を備えたシステム。 2. 前記グローバル基準トーンから前記第1調整信号を抽出するために前記第1 局部発振器の前にスイッチされる第1位相ロッキング手段をさらに備えた請 求項1のシステム。 3. 前記グローバル基準トーンから前記第2調整信号を抽出するために前記第2 局 部発振器の前にスイッチされる第2位相ロッキング手段をさらに備えた請 求項1のシステム。 4. 前記IF信号と前記グローバル基準信号が前記低帯域幅媒体を通して送信さ れるように、前記グローバル基準信号と前記IF信号を加算するために前記 低帯域幅媒体と前記グローバル基準発振器に接続される総和手段をさらに備 えた請求項3のシステム。 5. 前記第2局部発振器が電圧制御型発振器であり、不安定なRF信号基準トー ンを送信し、前記第2の位相ロッキング手段が、 a)不安定なIF基準トーンを前記グローバル基準トーンの周波数で抽出す るために前記の不安定なRF基準トーンを分割するための前記第2局部発 振器に接続される分周器と、 b)位相比較器の出力が前記第2調整信号を送信するように、前記の不安定 なIF基準トーンを前記グローバル基準トーンにロックするための位相比 較器と、 c)前記第2調整信号を濾過して前記第2局部発振器に送信するためのフィ ルタであって、前記第2局部発振器が高安定性の第2RF基準トーンを生 成するように前記第2調整信号が前記第2局部発振器を安定させる前記フ ィルタと、 を備えた請求項3のシステム。 6. 前記グローバル基準信号を分散ハブから前記システムに提供するように、前 記のグローバル基準発振器を収容するための前記分散ハブを構成する請求項 1のシステム。 7. 低帯域幅媒体がネットワークを備える請求項1のシステム。 8. 小ゾーン式通信、コードレス電話、構内RF通信、衛星テレビ、双方向マル チメディア・ビデオ、高ビット速度のローカル・エリア・ネットワークに使用 されるRF帯域幅のグループから、前記RF帯域幅を選択する請求項1のシ ステム。 9. 前記RF帯域幅が前記低帯域幅媒体の前記送信帯域幅よりも狭い請求項1の システム。 10.10baseTケーブル、電話線、光ファイバ・ケーブル、非遮蔽ケーブル、電力 ケーブルから成るグループから、前記低帯域幅媒体を選択する請求項9のシ ステム。 11.RF帯域幅に含まれるRF信号を、該RF帯域幅以下の送信帯域幅を有する 低帯域幅媒体に渡って送信するための方法であって、 a)前記RF信号を受信し、 b)前記低帯域幅媒体の前記送信帯域幅内の周波数で高安定性のグローバル 基準トーンを前記システムに提供し、 c)第1局部発振器が第1RF信号を発振するように、前記第1局部発振器 の出力を制御するために前記グローバル基準トーンから抽出した第1調整 信号を使用して高安定性の前記第1RF基準トーンを生成し、 d)前記送信帯域幅内にあるIF信号を生成するために前記第1RF基準ト ーンと前記RF信号とをミキシングし、 e)前記低帯域幅媒体を通して前記IF信号を供給し、 f)第2局部発振器が第2RF基準トーンを生成するように、前記第2局部 発振器の出力を制御するために前記グローバル基準トーンから抽出した第 2調整信号を使用して高安定性の前記第2RF基準トーンを生成し、そし て g)前記第2RF基準トーンと前記低帯域媒体を通して供給される前記IF 信号とをミキシングして前記RF信号を回復させる、 段階を含んだ方法。 12.前記グローバル基準トーンが前記IF信号の帯域幅に重ならない請求項11の 方法。 13.前記グローバル基準トーンの周波数が前記IF信号の帯域幅以下である請求 項11の方法。 14.ベース・ステーションで前記RF信号を受信し、遠隔有効範囲内にあるサイ トに前記低帯域幅媒体を通して供給する請求項11の方法。 15.前記RF信号を遠隔有効範囲内にあるサイトで受信し、前記低帯域幅媒体を 通してベース・ステーションに送信する請求項11の方法。 16.前記RF信号を前記低帯域幅媒体を通して双方向に送信する請求項11の方 法。 17.前記IF信号が前記低帯域幅媒体を通過中に増幅される請求項11の方法。
