Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.第一状態と第二状態の間で構成可能な伸縮性シート部材において、第一状 態は該部材が実質的に第一軸に平行に巻かれた渦巻き状態であり、第二状態は該 部材が第一軸に対してある角度をなす第二軸に実質的に平行に伸長する伸長状態 であり、該部材は、第一および/または第二軸に対してある角度で傾斜する方向 の引張り強さおよび/または圧縮強さが、素材の幾何学的および/または分子構 造のために、これらの軸の方向より強い素材から全体的および/または部分的に 形成されるので、該部材を第二軸に実質的に平行な方向に伸長させたときに、こ の引張り強さおよび/または圧縮強さの格差のために第二軸に対してある角度を なす方向に収縮が発生し、該部材が第二状態に偏倚することを特徴とする伸縮性 シート部材。この格差は、全体的あるいは部分的に、部材構造内の繊維の存在に 由来するものであり、そうした繊維は該部材の一部分を構成している。 2.第一状態と第二状態の間で構成可能な伸縮性シート部材において、第一状 態は該部材が実質的に第一軸に平行に巻かれた渦巻き状態であり、第二状態は該 部材が第一軸に対してある角度をなす第二軸に実質的に平行に伸長する伸長状態 であり、該部材はシートの面内にまたはこれと平行として複数の交差繊維を有し 、各繊維は第一軸に対して0°から90°の間の角度をなしているので、該部材 を第二軸に実質的に平行な方向に伸長させたときに、前記交差繊維のために第二 軸に対してある角度をなす方向に収縮が発生して該部材が第二状態に偏倚するこ とを特徴とする伸縮性シート部材。 3.前記部材が前記第一状態と第二状態の間で可逆的に構成可能であることを 特徴とする請求項1または2記載の伸縮性部材。 4.前記繊維が弾性的であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに 記載の伸縮性部材。 5.前記交差繊維を基板の片面に設けることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3の いずれかに記載の伸縮性部材。 6.前記交差繊維を基板の相対する両面に設けることを特徴とする請求項1な いし4のいずれかに記載の伸縮性部材。 7.前記繊維を基板に埋め込むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか に記載の伸縮性部材。 8.前記基板が弾性的であることを特徴とする請求項5ないし7のいずれかに 記載の伸縮性部材。 9.前記繊維の少なくとも一部が編成されることを特徴とする請求項1ないし 8のいずれかに記載の伸縮性部材。 10.前記繊維の少なくとも一部が織成されることを特徴とする請求項1ない し9のいずれかに記載の伸縮性部材。 11.前記繊維の少なくとも一部が一連の薄層であることを特徴とする請求項 1ないし10のいずれかに記載の伸縮性部材。 12.前記部材が第二状態にあるとき、該部材の相対する縁部を解放可能に係 止する手段を含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし11のいずれかに記載の伸縮 性部材。 13.前記繊維の集団が第一軸に対してそれぞれ異なる角度をなすことを特徴 とする請求項1ないし12のいずれかに記載の伸縮性部材。 14.前記繊維が第一軸に対して異なる角度をなし、前記角度が部材の縦方向 および横方向で変化することを特徴とする請求項1ないし12のいずれかに記載 の伸縮性部材。 15.前記部材が該部材の選択された部分にだけ繊維を含み、該部材のその他 の部分には繊維を含まないことを特徴とする請求項1ないし14のいずれかに記 載の伸縮性部材。 16.第二状態への遷移が全体的または部分的に、部材が形成されている素材 内部の管状溝の存在によって生じ、該溝が第二軸に対してある角度をなして部材 の面に実質的に平行に走ることを特徴とする請求項1記載の伸縮性部材。 17.第一および第二状態の間で構成可能な伸縮性シート部材の製造方法にお いて、第一状態は該部材が実質的に第一軸に平行に巻かれた渦巻き状態であり、 第二状態は該部材が第一軸に対してある角度をなす第二軸に実質的に平行に伸長 する伸長状態であり、該部材はシートの面内にまたはこれと平行して複数の交差 繊維を有し、各繊維は第一軸に対して0°から90°の間の角度をなしているの で、該部材を第二軸に実質的に平行な方向に伸長させたときに、前記交差繊維の ために第二軸に対してある角度をなす方向に収縮が発生して該部材は第二状態に 偏倚(バイアス)し、前記方法は、 基板となる第一層および前記繊維から成る第二層を加熱手段上に通過させ、そ れにより前記第一層を加熱して前記第一層と第二層を一つに接合させる段階と、 その後、前記接合された第一および第二層を加圧して、渦巻き状態の前記部材を 生成する段階と、 によって構成されることを特徴とする製造方法。 18.第一および第二状態の間で構成可能な伸縮性シート部材の製造方法にお いて、第一状態は該部材が実質的に第一軸に平行に巻かれた渦巻き状態であり、 第二状態は該部材が第一軸に対してある角度をなす第二軸に実質的に平行に伸長 する伸長状態であり、該部材はシートの面内にまたはこれと平行して複数の交差 繊維を有し、各繊維は第一軸に対して0°から90°の間の角度をなしているの で、該部材を第二軸に実質的に平行な方向に伸長させたときに、前記交差繊維の ために第二軸に対してある角度をなす方向に収縮が発生して該部材は第二状態に 偏倚し、前記方法は、 基板となる層であって、内部に前記繊維が埋め込まれた層を加圧して、渦巻き 状態の前記部材を生成する段階、 によって構成されることを特徴とする製造方法。
