Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.行列配置の画素からなる表示出力を発生する画像表示デバイスと、各別の画 素群からの出力を互いに異なる方向に指向させて立体画像を知覚可能にするレン チキュラー素子のアレーを具えるレンチキュラー手段とを具えた自動立体表示装 置において、レンチキュラー手段が、電圧の選択的印加により屈折率を、レンチ キュラー手段の光出力指向作用を与える第1の値と光出力指向作用を除去する第 2の値との間で切り換えることができる電気光学材料を具えていることを特徴と する自動立体表示装置。 2.レンチキュラー手段がレンチキュラー素子のアレーにより決まるプロファイ ルド表面を有するレンチキュラーシートを具え、電気光学材料が前記表面上に位 置し、電気光学材料の前記表面と反対側の表面がほぼ平坦であり、電気光学材料 の屈折率がレンチキュラーシートの材料の屈折率にほぼ等しい値と、異なる値と の間で切り換え可能であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の自動立体表示装置。 3.電気光学材料は液晶材料であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の自動立体表 示装置。 4.透明板がレンチキュラーシートのプロファイルド表面から離して配置され、 プロファイルド表面と透明板との間に液晶が配置されていることを特徴とする請 求項3記載の自動立体表示装置。 5.透明板が画像表示デバイスの基板を構成することを特徴とする請求項4記載 の自動立体表示装置。 6.レンチキュラー手段が複数の個別の領域に分割され、各領域が個別にスイッ チング可能であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れかに記載の自動立体表示 装置。 7.画像表示デバイスが液晶表示デバイスであることを特徴とする請求項1〜6 の何れかに記載の自動立体表示装置。
