Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.入力信号に応答して増幅信号を供給する増幅器であって、 複数の増幅器段と、制御回路とを備え、 前記複数の増幅器段は、前記入力信号に接続された増幅器段入力と、前記増幅 信号を供給する増幅器段出力とを有し、前記入力信号を増幅し、 前記制御回路は、前記複数の増幅器段に接続され、前記増幅信号の電力レベル に応答して前記複数の増幅器段の少なくとも一つを選択する 増幅器。 2.請求項1に記載の増幅器であって、さらに入力回路網と、出力回路網とを備 え、 前記入力回路網は、前記入力信号に接続された入力と、各々前記増幅器段入力 の一つに接続された複数の出力とを有し、前記複数の増幅器段の中から選択され た少なくとも一つの増幅器段に前記入力信号を供給し、 前記出力回路網は、前記増幅器段出力の各々に接続され、前記複数の増幅器段 の中の前記選択された少なくとも一つからの増幅信号を出力ノードに供給する 増幅器。 3.請求項2に記載の増幅器であって、 前記入力回路網は、前記制御回路に接続され、前記制御回路によって制御され る入力スイッチを有し、 前記出力回路網は、前記制御回路に接続され、前記制御回路によって制御され る出力スイッチを有する 増幅器。 4.請求項2に記載の増幅器であって、 前記制御回路は、前記増幅信号の電力レベルに応答して利得調整信号を発生し 、 前記入力回路網は、前記入力信号を所定相の複数の入力信号成分に分割する入 力分割回路と、複数の利得調整要素を有し、 前記複数の利得調整要素は、前記複数の入力信号成分の一つを受信するために 入力分割回路に接続された利得調整入力と、前記増幅器段入力の一つに接続され た利得調整出力を有し、前記利得調整信号に応答して前記複数の入力信号成分の 一つの電力レベルを調整し、 前記出力回路網は、前記所定相の複数の入力信号成分を結合された増幅信号に 結合する出力結合回路を有する 増幅器。 5.請求項1に記載の増幅器であって、さらに複数の電力整合回路網を備え、 前記複数の電力整合回路網は、前記増幅器段出力の一つに接続された電力整合 入力と、前記出力ノードに接続された電力整台出力とを有し、前記出力ノードに 前記増幅信号を供給する 増幅器。 6.請求項1に記載の増幅器であって、さらに複数のトランジスタと、電力整合 回路網とを備え、 前記複数のトランジスタは、前記増幅器段出力の一つに接続されたトランジス タ入力と、トランジスタ出力とを有し、前記増幅器段の一つによって選択的に作 動され、 前記電力整合回路網は、前記トランジスタ出力の各々に接続された電力整合入 力と、出力ノードに接続された電力整合出力とを有し、前記出力ノードに前記増 幅信号を提供する 増幅器。 7.請求項2に記載の増幅器であって、 前記複数の増幅器段は、前記入力信号を受信して低電力増幅器信号を発生する 低電力増幅器と、前記低電力増幅器に接続され、前記低電力増幅器信号を受信し て増幅する高電力増幅器とを有する 増幅器。 8.符号分割多重接続(CDMA)スペクトラム拡散通信信号を使用する少なく とも一つのセルサイトを経由して複数のユーザが相互間で情報信号を通信するた めに無線電話を使用するセルラ通信システムにおいて、入力CDMA信号に応答 して増幅CDMA信号を供給するために前記無線電話内に設けられる増幅器であ って、 複数の増幅器段と、入力回路網と、出力回路網と、制御回路とを備え、 前記複数の増幅器段は、増幅器段入力と、増幅器段出力とを有し、前記入力C DMA信号を増幅し、 前記入力回路網は、前記複数の増幅器段の前記増幅器段入力の各々に接続され 、前記複数の増幅器段の中から選択された少なくとも一つの増幅器段に前記入力 CDMA信号を供給し、 前記出力回路網は、前記複数の増幅器段の前記増幅器段出力の各々に接続され 、出力ノードに前記増幅CDMA信号を供給し、 前記制御回路は、前記入力回路網と前記出力回路網に接続され、前記増幅CD MA信号の電力レベルに応答して前記複数の増幅器段の中から前記少なくとも一 つの増幅器段を選択する 増幅器。 9.前記請求項8に記載の増幅器であって、 前記入力信号は、コード記号のシーケンスからなり、 前記制御回路は、前記コード記号間の遷移を判別し、前記入力回路網に、前記 コード記号間の前記遷移においてのみ前記複数の増幅器段の中から別に選択され た少なくとも一つの増幅器段に前記入力信号を供給させる 増幅器。 10.請求項8に記載の増幅器であって、 前記制御回路は、前記高電力増幅器の利得設定を制御する利得制御ループを有 する 増幅器。 11.複数の増幅器段を有する増幅器において入力信号に応答して増幅信号を供 給する方法であって、 前記増幅信号の電力レベルに応答して前記複数の増幅器段の少なくとも一つを 選択するステップと、 前記入力信号を複数の増幅器段の中から選択された前記少なくとも一つの増幅 器段に与えるステップと、 前記増幅信号を発生させるために複数の増幅器段の中から選択された前記少な くとも一つの増幅器段において前記入力信号を増幅するステップと、 前記増幅信号を出力ノードに供給するステップと を備える方法。 12.複数の増幅器段を有する増幅器において入力信号に応答して増幅信号を供 給する方法であって、 前記入力信号を所定相の複数の入力信号成分に分割するステップと、 前記増幅信号の電力値に応答して前記複数の入力信号成分の各々の電力値を調 整するステップと、 前記複数の入力信号成分を前記複数の増幅器段に与えるステップと、 複数の増幅信号成分を発生させるために前記複数の増幅器段において前記複数 の入力信号成分を増幅するステップと、 前記増幅信号を発生させるために前記複数の増幅信号成分を結合するステップ と、 を備える方法。 13.入力信号に応答して増幅信号を供給する増幅器であって、 複数の増幅器段と、制御回路と、絶縁手段とを備え、 前記複数の増幅器段は、前記入力信号に接続された増幅器段入力と、増幅信号 を供給する増幅器段出力とを有し、前記入力信号を増幅し、 前記制御回路は、前記複数の増幅器段に接続され、前記増幅器段入力に直流電 流(DC)バイアスを選択的に供給し、 前記絶縁手段は、前記増幅器段入力の各々に接続され、前記DCバイアスを前 記複数の増幅器段の他の増幅器段から絶縁する 増幅器。 14.請求項13に記載の増幅器であって、さらに入力回路網と、出力回路網と を備え、 前記入力回路網は、前記入力信号に接続された入力と、各々前記増幅器段入力 の一つに接続された複数の出力とを有し、前記複数の増幅器段の各々に前記入力 信号を供給し、 前記出力回路網は、前記増幅段出力の各々に接続され、前記複数の増幅器段の 中から選択された少なくとも1つの増幅器段からの前記増幅信号を出力ノードに 供給する 増幅器。 15.請求項14に記載の増幅器であって、 前記絶縁手段は、複数のコンデンサを有し、 前記複数のコンデンサは、前記入力信号に接続された入力と、前記増幅器段入 力の一つに接続された出力とを有する 増幅器。 16.請求の範囲15に記載の増幅器であって、前記複数の増幅器段の少なくと も一つが電界効果トランジスタ回路である増幅器。 17。請求の範囲15に記載の増幅器であって、前記複数の増幅器段の少なくと も一つが双極接合トランジスタ回路である増幅器。 18.複数の増幅器段を有する増幅器において入力信号に応答して増幅信号を提 供する方法であって、 前記複数の増幅器段の各々に前記入力信号を与えるステップと、 前記複数の増幅器段の選択された一つに直流電流(DC)バイアス信号を与え るステップと、 前記DCバイアス信号を前記複数の増幅器段の中から選択された前記一つの増 幅器段を除くすべての増幅器段から絶縁するステップと、 前記増幅信号を発生させるために複数の増幅器段の中から選択された前記一つ の増幅器段において前記入力信号を増幅するステップと、 前記増幅信号を出力ノードに供給するステップと を備える方法。
