Abstract

Una porzione di film, di lunghezza proporzionata alle dimensioni ed alle caratteristiche del prodotto da avvolgere, viene sottoposta ad un prestiro trasversale la cui entità è anch'essa proporzionata ai detti parametri. Il film è trattenuto per una estremità da una pinza posteriore (61), mobile, che attenuano convenientemente la tensione longitudinale del film stesso, sia nel prestiro che durante il successivo sollevamento del prodotto. In questa fase le pinze laterali (78-178) s'avvicinano per attenuare il prestiro e poi si inseriscono sotto al prodotto e s'aprono, per distendere sotto al prodotto stesso i lembi laterali del film. Intervengono poi, in gruppo, il piegatore posteriore (52) che stende sotto al prodotto un tratto del film trattenuto dall'associata pinza posteriore (61), e lo spintore (55) che spinge il prodotto sul piegatore anteriore (37), mentre dal distributore fisso (30) viene richiamato un ultimo lembo di film che si estende sul fondo del prodotto per tutta la lunghezza, che viene tagliato a misura e che si dispone sotto ai lembi laterali ed al lembo posteriore abbandonato in giusta fase dalla detta pinza posteriore.
