Abstract

In un'apparecchiatura per avvolgere automaticamente un materiale di copertura attorno al volante di guida di un veicolo, il volante viene ricoperto con il materiale di copertura in modo che bordi liberi dei mantelli laterali possano essere attestati uno contro l'altro in corrispondenza del tratto periferico interno del volante. Uno della coppia di mantelli laterali è fatto aderire al volante mentre detto un mantello laterale del materiale di copertura viene avvolto attorno al volante dal bordo libero di detto un mantello laterale fino ad un punto adiacente alle rientranze. Un utensile di spinta avente una superficie di spinta che ricalca una superficie concava di ciascuna delle rientranze nel volante viene usato per spingere ciascuna di porzioni non aderenti dell'altro mantello laterale del materiale di copertura contro una corrispondente delle rientranze lungo una direzione di spinta, facendo cosi aderire alla rientranza la porzione non aderente.
