Abstract

Rig (1) comprises one or more gear rotors (7). One or more motors are connected to one of the rotors (7) driven by the pinion. Each of the rotors (7) is connected at one side to the dynamometric brake (4) by the electromagnetic clutch (6) and at the other side - to the low-inertia starter engine (8). The testing cycle ensures the motor activation through the rotation of the rotors (7). The rotor (7) is connected to the brake (4) by the clutch (6) in such a way that a maximal braking torque is applied to the motor. The clutch (6) is disengaged and the low- inertia motor (9) rotates the rotor (7) at a speed in order to reproduce the internal combustion engine electric starter racing phase. Four motors are set on the rig (1) and positioned on the guiding elements engaging the pinions with the gear rack of the two rotors (7). The computer checks the clutch (6) position and connects the supply (13) in order to control the electric charge fed to the motors. The motors excited in this manner rotate the rotors (7) and the frictional brake (4) at up to 1300 rpm at a fixed maximal braking torque.
