Abstract

PURPOSE:To store the braking energy for use in the power running by connecting a fly-wheel to the output shaft of the differential gear system connected to the power drive system and controlling the rotation of said output shaft according to the position of a brake notch. CONSTITUTION:An energy recovering system comprises a differential gear system 10, a flywheel 11 and a slipping clutch 12, an input shaft 15 being connected to a reverser 4 of the output transmission mechanism of a diesel engine 1 via a propelling shaft 16 and the fly wheel 11 being connected to an output shaft 19 provided on a sun gear, said input shaft being provided on a support arm 14 of a planet gear 13 of the differential gear system 10, the rotation of the output shaft being controlled by the rotating torque of an internal gear 20 and said torque being controlled by a controller 22 via a clutch 12 and a gear 21. A car speed signal from a car speed detector 23 and a revolution signal from a flywheel revolution detector 24 are inputted to the controller 22 to control the clutch 12 and a brake 27 via a braking signal transmitter 25 and a locomotive power running transmitter 26.
