Abstract

Viene descritto un procedimento per ottenere un prodotto in foglio di aspetto simile alla pelle naturale, ma di qualità e costo inferiori; si parte da una pelle sintetica di basso costo e qualità costituita da un materiale composito in foglio avente una matrice polimerica portante annegate delle fibre naturali o sintetiche e si sottopone tale materiale ad un trattamento di rifinizione del tipo di quello utilizzato nel settore conciario: tale trattamento prevede successive fasi di verniciatura a spruzzo delle superfici esposte del materiale composito con resine plastiche coloranti polimerizzabili a caldo, dette resine venendo applicate in miscela acquosa o a base di solventi, eventualmente addittivate con cere, pigmenti e/o coloranti azoici premetallizzati, seguite da rispettive fasi di essicazione, da una fase di calandratura a caldo eseguita utilizzando cilindri o piastre sculturati o non, e da una eventuale fase di follonaggio in botte rotante.
