Abstract
The false-twisting unit, for texturising yarns, with a false-twisting tube held mechanically or magnetically in the gap between paired rollers, has yarn guides arranged so that the yarn follows the same angle passing to, and emerging from, the false-twisting tube, which is held in place when no yarn is present. The design allows a high rotation speed for the false-twisting spindle tube as there is little mechanical energy imposed on the tube and so damaging, friction heat is not generated.
