Abstract

The soot blower comprises a tube (1) provided with nozzles (2) and leading to a heat exchanger through an opening provided in a wall which is made tight by a box (7). The tube (1) and the box (7) are supplied with sweeping air and with retaining air which are produced, for each soot blower, by a compressor (16).
