Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce outdoor noise from an outside air opening by bending and increasing the length of an outside air passage route from the opening to an indoor air diffuser.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of ducts 6, 7 vertically extended within the end wall of a vehicle 2 are provided adjacent to each other to communicate at the lower ends thereof with each other. The dust 6 communicates at the upper end thereof with the front duct of the filter 13 of an automotive air conditioner unit 1, while the duct 7 communicates at the upper end thereof with an outside air opening 8 opened at the outer surface of the wall at the end of the vehicle 2. The outside air is introduced from the opening 8 through the dust 7, the duct 6, the filter 13, a heat exchanger 12, and a blower 1 sequentially into a diffuser 3A. Thus, the passage route from the opening 8 to the diffuser 3A is very long and also bent to thereby reduce the noise from the outside of the vehicle 2.
