Abstract

1434122 Building frameworks E G RENSCH 14 May 1973 [13 May 1972 [19 June 1972] 22916/73 Headings E1K and E1W [Also in Division F2] A prefabricated building incorporates hollow box-section columns (of, e.g. extruded aluminium) of polygonal form having re-entrant grooves, e.g. 3 (Fig. 9) formed therein, or slots, e.g. 9 formed betwen two components thereof, together with upper e.g. 31 and lower, e.g. 70 beams secured thereto by brackets, e.g. 7a, at least the lower beams providing grooves aligned with those in the columns, to facilitate the reception of strips 23 of, e.g. hard rubber to which panels, e.g. 20 may be secured and against which windows, e.g. 27 may be located. Back-to-back beams are secured to the coulmns by internal brackets 35, 36 (Fig. 5), with insulating strips 37 employed therebetween. The columns may be of square, rectangular or hexagonal form, with components forming at least part of two or more faces thereof The columns may be filled with concrete. [GB1434122A]
