Abstract

1293406 Condiment containers DART INDUSTRIES INC 19 Dec 1969 [20 Dec 1968] 62036/69 Heading A4A A container 42 for viscous foodstuff such as mustard comprises an open-topped vessel 46, a removable cover 54 in sealing engagement with the vessel and a removable closure cap 76 which mates with the cover 54 to seal the container. The vessel 46 has a side wall 44 terminating in an upper edge 50 which mates with an inverted groove, formed by walls 66, 68 and 70, in the cover 54. The cover 54 also has a central aperture surrounded by an upstanding neck portion 58. The cap 76 has side wall portions 82 stepped to provide a shoulder 84, the lower portion 82 and the shoulder 84 engaging the top of the neck portion 58. The cap has a flange formed with a tab 80 and carrying a hinge member 78 which engages with lugs 72 on the cover 54. A radially inwardly projecting shoulder 61 is provided at the base of the neck portion. A dispenser for granular condiments and a tray with recesses for receiving the container and dispensers are described. [GB1293406A]
