Abstract

Η παρούσα εφεύρεσις αφορά εις πολυμερές πολυπεπτίδιον δυνάμενον να μιμηθεί την ικανότητα της apo E να προκαλεί διαφοροποιημένην κυτταρικήν λειτουργίαν. Η επαναλαμβανόμενη μονάς του πολυπεπτιδίου έχει αλληλουχίαν ριζών αμινοξέων αντιστοιχούσαν εις την αντιπροσωπευομένην υπό του τύπου LRKLRKRLLRDADDL. Θεωρείται επίσης μέθοδος θεραπείας της υπεχοληστεριναιμίας εις ασθενή, περιλαμβάνουσα την χορήγησιν εις τον ασθενή μιας υποβιβαζούσης την εις το πλάσμα συγκέντρωσιν της LDL ποσότητος του πολυπεπτιδίου. Περιγράφεται επίσης η χρήσις του πολυπεπτιδίου εις την παρασκευήν διαγνωστικών αντισωμάτων και η χρήσις αυτών εις διαγνωστικά συστήματα και μεθόδους ανιχνεύσεως αντιγόνων apo E εις αγγειακά υγρά του σώματος. ω
