Abstract

Παρασκευάζεται ένα κoνιοποιημένο μείγμα συντριμένων οικιακών σκουπιδιών και ενός ορυκτού υλικού που περιέχει οξείδιο ασβεστίου. Το μείγμα που παρασκευάζεται έτσι συμπιέζεται υπό πίεση 150 έως 900 BΑRS για να σχηματισθούν κυλινδρικά σώματα. Τα σώματα τούτα υφίστανται ακολούθως μια επεξεργασία ξηράνσεως και σκληρύνσεως κατόπιν διόδου των διαμέσου μιας περιστροφικής σωληνοειδούς καμίνου, όπου τα σώματα θερμαίνονται στους περίπου 250 βαθμούς C επί 30 λεπτά. Τα σκληρυνθέντα σώματα αλέθονται έπειτα σε λεπτή σκόνη που αποτελείται από κοκκώδη τεμαχίδια και ίνες. Τέλος, η σκόνη αυτή κοκκοποιείται σε σχήμα σφαιροειδών δισκίων με την χρησιμοποίηση μιας συσκευής συσσωματώσεως τύπου δίσκου (λεκάνης). Τα δίσκια που αποκτώνται τοιουτοτρόπως είναι ουσιαστικά ανθεκτικά σε αποσύνθεση και αδιάλυτα σε νερό και είναι πολύ κατάλληλα σαν πρώτη ύλη για την κατασκευή οικοδομικών στοιχείων, όπως τούβλων, ή σαν ένα αδρανές πρόσμιγμα για την παρασκευή σκυροδέματος. ω
