Abstract
Μία συσκευή ηλεκτροδίων προσηρμοσμένη προς χρησιμοποίησιν εις ηλεκτροχημικά συστήματα έχουσα εν διαμέρισμα ανόδου και εν διαμέρισμα καθόδου εις το οποίον αέριον και ιόντα παράγονται και καταναλίσκονται εντός των διαμερισμάτων κατά την διάρκειαν της παραγωγής ηλεκτρικού ρεύματος. Η συσκευή ηλεκτροδίων περιλαμβάνει μίαν μεμβράνην προς διαχωρισμόν του διαμερίσματος ανόδου από το διαμέρισμα καθόδου όπου η μεμβράνη είναι διαπερατή τόσον από τα ιόντα όσον και από το αέριον. Αι δια το συγκρότημα κάθοδος και άνοδος προβλέπονται επί των αντιθέτων πλευρών της μεμβράνης. Κατά την διάρκειαν της χρησιμοποιήσεως της συσκευής μεμβράνης-ηλεκτροδίων εις ηλεκτροχημικά στοιχεία, το αέριον και τα ιόντα που παράγονται εις την κάθοδον ή την άνοδον μετοικούν δια μέσου της μεμβράνης προς παροχήν αποτελεσματικής μεταφοράς αερίου και ιόντων μεταξύ των διαμερισμάτων ανόδου και καθόδου. ω
