Abstract

997,204. Two-part couplings. PRESSAC Ltd. June 12, 1963 [Sept. 17, 1962], No. 35289/62. Heading H2E. An electric plug whose pins 1 are in the form of flat blades each of which has at one end a tag 3 with a neck-like part 2 joining it to the blade, has a body with a wall consisting of two plates 5, 8, one having a slot 6 through which the neck can pass, and the other, 8, having a slot 9 to fit around the neck 2, the plates being joined together (Fig. 2, not shown) to lock the pin. The tag may have lateral ear portions 4 and these may be wider than the blade 1 in which case the slot 9 is formed in the plate 5 and the slot 6 in the plate 8, so that the pin is then inserted blade first in plate 8. Alternative arrangements include a twisted neck portion (Fig. 3, not shown).
