Abstract

1492764 Two part couplings MULTILAM CORP 22 Nov 1974 50766/74 Heading H2E An electrical connector comprises a tubular electrically conducting body having two axially spaced band portions, a plurality of spaced louvres each connected at one end to one band portion and at the other end to another band portion, and a plurality of inwardly extending teeth being inclined so as to permit insertion of a terminal into said connector between the louvres but to hold the terminal against removal from the connector. In one embodiment described the connector 10 comprises three axially aligned bands 12, 14, 36 with louvres 16 joining two bands 12, 14 the third band having teeth 40 adapted to grip an inserted terminal 20 and prevent its withdrawal Connection between the terminal 20 and the surrounding terminal 32 is through the edges of the louvres 16. The connector 10 may be made as a single unit from a stamped sheet (Fig. 1, not shown). Another embodiment (Fig. 5, not shown) has two identical connectors joined back-to-back allowing insertion of two terminals 20. A further embodiment (not shown) only has two band portions.
