994,672. Composite structural panels; tunnels. ASTRIMEX HANDELMAATSCHAPPIJ N.V. Oct. 10, 1962 [Oct. 10, 1961], No. 38460/62. Headings E1F and E1V. A composite panel for a wall partition, ceiling or tunnel lining comprises elongate members 3 supported from support members 1 extending transversely thereto by pairs of retaining surfaces such as tabs 2 struck out from the support members, which pairs of tabs &c. are resiliently gripped between edge flanges of the members 3, the main part of each elongate member 3 being spaced from the respective support member 1. A sealing layer 8 may be disposed between the members 1 and 3 and a layer of sound absorbing material may be disposed on the sealing layer. The framing members may be of open box section and may be connected to suspension members 5, Fig. 2, by means of spring clips 5<SP>1</SP>. Adjacent, aligned framing members 1 may be connected by spigots 4 and adjacent aligned elongate members 3 may be connected by spigots 7.
