994,635. Hair dryers. H. G. ANDRESEN. June 23, 1961 [June 27, 1960], No. 22895/61. Heading A5R. A hair dryer hood comprises a drying chamber connected to a hood top 10, the drying chamber being telescopically collapsible and comprising frusto-conical annular members 51 to 55, arranged to slide one within the other, whereof the annular member 51 having the smallest diameter is connected to the hood top and the annular member 55 having the largest diameter carries a flange which in the collapsed condition of the drying chamber forms an outer <SP>I</SP> marginal termination of the hood top and co- operates with the same to enclose the annular members. Air guiding vanes 59 may be pro- vided on the internal surfaces of the annular members. An electric motor 30, a fan 31, a switch 50 and a heater 33 are enclosed within a space bounded by the hood top, the smallest annular member and a screen 46.
