Abstract

589,473. Hair-drying apparatus. CURRY, M. March 24, 1945, No. 7478. [Class 81 (ii)] Hair and head-drying apparatus of the'type comprising a hood containing a circulating fan, an electric heating element, and a dehydrating unit, is characterised by the use of a second fan to drive the air through the dehydrating unit. As shown, the main fan G of an electricallyheated hair-drying unit A is secured to the motor spindle F by ferrule H and grub screw J. The ferrule is extended to pass through a dehydrating unit N containing, for example, fine wood wool and engage supplementary fan L. Electric heaters 0 are also provided in the path of the air, which is driven on to the head partly around the outside of shell C and partly through apertures D in the shell.
