Abstract

965,793. Hand driers. SIEMENS-ELECTROGERATE A.G. April 21, 196] [April 22, 1960], No. 14556/61. Heading A5R. A hand drier, incorporating an electricallydriven fan assembly, has the heater element mounted in the air intake, to avoid the possibility of a user touching it. In the form shown, the motor 5 drives a centrifugal fan 2 having an air inlet duct 6 and an outlet duct 3 leading to an external orifice 4. The heater element 8 is mounted on a ceramic former 7 within the duct 6 and the shape of the former is preferably conical so as to distribute the heat more effectively.
