Abstract
993, 565. Photographic processing apparatus. A. CORONA. Nov. 28, 1961 [Dec. 21, 1960; April 12,1961], No. 42584/61. Heading G2A. A photocopying apparatus has two transversely extending guide members just above the bottom of the developing tank, and feeding means arranged so that one photographic sheet takes a path through the tank which passes under only one of said guide members, while a second sheet takes a longer path which passes under both guide members; the positive sheet is immersed for the shorter period, the negative sheet for the longer period, and they are then pressed together between rollers to effect an image transfer. In the form shown, two feedways 15,16 lead into the liquid in the developing tank. The upper feedway, through which the positive sheet A is inserted, guides this sheet to pass under a roller 5 2 . The lower feedway, through which the negative sheet B is inserted, guides this sheet to pass first under a roller 5 1 , before passing under roller 5 2 . The two sheets then pass on in contact to be squeezed together between rollers 6, thus completing the image transfer. The negative sheet B has thus been immersed in the development liquid for a longer period than the positive sheet A. Fig. 4 (not shown) is a modified arrangement in which the feedways are replaced by roller conveyers, the sheets being fed in on either side of a separator baffle. Guiding marks may be placed on this baffle for the leading edges of the sheets so that they may be in register when passing between rollers 6. The liquid may be replenished through a funnel, or by perforating a bag containing a further supply.
