924,676. Sheet feeding apparatus. MINNESOTA MINING & MANUFACTURING CO. May 15, 1959 [May 21, 1958], No. 41565/62. Divided out of 924,675. Class 100 (1). In the copying machine of Specification 924,675 intermittently operating feed rollers 37 repeatedly advance the top sheet of a stack of copy sheets beyond stop means in the form of a strip of sandpaper 40 into a position of superimposed alignment with the original. The original, which is fed to a position beneath a continuously moving belt 10 by a feeding arrangement 28 through guide means 23, 24, and the advanced copy sheet are arrested by a stop 33 until vertically movable rollers 34 located between the stops 40 and 33 are caused to move upwardly to lift the aligned copy sheet and original such that the belt may carry them over the stop and on to the printing roller 12. The stack is supported by a spring-loaded base 39. Specification 924,677 also is referred to.
