998,068. Feeding sheets. EASTMAN KODAK CO. March 22, 1963 [March 26, 1962], No. 39549/64. Drawings to Specification. Divided out of 998,067. Heading B6B. In apparatus for separating sheets from the top of a stack by means of a friction roller, in order to allow of the easy insertion of a fresh stack of sheets beneath the roller, the fresh stack is arranged to engage a movably mounted member and move it into an operative position between the top sheet of the stack and the roller to prevent the roller engaging the stack and thus impeding the introduction of the stack; in this operative position, the member is engaged by the feed roller so that, when the roller is driven for sheet-feeding, the member is moved back into inoperative position. As described, the apparatus is identical with that described in Specification 998,067.
