Abstract

1,260,277. Feeding sheets. COPYSTATICS MFG. CORP. 8 April, 1970 [16 June, 1969], No. 16593/70. Heading B8R. The top sheet of a stack 88 is lifted by suction due to a series of blowers 26 against moving rubber belts 64 which feed it to a grid guide 66, 70 and over a second grid guide and thence into a passage 14 and feed rollers of a copying machine. If a second sheet adheres to the top sheet, it is returned to the stack by reversely rotating anti-friction members 84 until the top sheet is separated. Air passing from the blowers through the grid 66, 70 urges the separated sheet leading portion downwards to assist separation by arching.
