Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the curl of the transfer paper regardless of the curling direction, by setting a two-way curl correcting means at two transfer paper paths respectively and accordingly putting the transfer paper into the transfer paper path corresponding to the curling direction of the transfer paper by means of a guide plate which controls the advancing direction of the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:A belt 12 is set to a pair of rollers 10 and 11 in addition to the pressure rollers 13 and 14, the guide plates 15 and 16, the transfer paper paths 17 and 18, etc. In case a face curl occurs, a guide plate 19 which controls the paper advancing direction is driven to close the upper transfer paper path 17. Thus the transfer paper is fed into the lower transfer paper path 18. Then the roller 14 is pressed toward an arrow mark, and a curled paper 21 is corrected by the roller 14 and the belt 12. Thus the paper 21 is turned into a flat paper 21' to be discharged. In the case of the back curl, the curled paper is fed into the path 17. And the curl is corrected by the roller 13 and the belt 12.
