Abstract

864,154. Photographic processes and apparatus. AGFA A.G. Jan. 15, 1959 [Jan. 20, 1958], No. 1539/59. Class 98(2) Negative and positive layers as of the silver salt diffusion transfer process, after moistening with developer liquid and bringing into contact, are dried while still in contact by passage through a hot air duct and are then separated. As shown the layers are introduced from position 12 through feed roller 3 past stripper 5 and into the duct between heated roller 7 and outer wall 8 to emerge beyond a further stripper 10 following discharge roller 9. In Fig. 3 (not shown) discharge rollers of a developing apparatus guide the layers to a flat heated duct at the end of which they are gripped by a further pair of discharge rollers leading to a tongue which effects separation.
