Abstract

977,487. Diazotype copying apparatus. GENERAL ANILINE & FILM CORPORATION. Dec. 4, 1962 [Dec. 11, 1961], No. 45793/62. Heading G24. Diazotype copying apparatus is equipped with a receiving tray for the original sheet previously separated from the exposed copy, which tray has a curved end, together with a reroll roller so driven as to constrain the sheet to follow the curvature of the tray, thus enabling long originals to be rewound into a roll without manual handling. The reroll rollers may be fitted in slots in the tray and driven by the infeed conveyor belt. In Fig. 1 original and sensitive sheets O and S are introduced via belt 16 over roller 21 and pass around exposure unit 13. The original sheet is then separated from the exposed sheet proceeding to the developer section by belt 27 and directed to tray 33 where rollers 60, 62 driven by belt 52, guide it into the curved end where it rolls up. Fig. 2, which is self-explanatory, is an enlarged diagrammatic view of the curved tray and adjacent items. Fig. 3 (not shown) is a sectional view through Fig. 2.
